Maybe if you checked, you'd realize that place is always busy.
I don't care about race, meaning I don't hate. I buy games to have fun and immerse myself in a fantasy world away from reality, but that reality comes back whenever I run into a negative stereotype being reinforced.
You get a little tired of it after awhile.
Those aren't races.....your point doesn't fit.
I'm black and also have been gaming for about 20 years. I didn't care then, but now that is a different story. I am getting tired of never seeing other races unless they are showing up in stereotypical fashion.
Games are supposed to be about imagination...fantasy, etc. WTF are stereotypes doing there?
BTW, how would they get it wrong? A person is an individual, it wouldn't be that hard to give players an option as to who they want to play as,...
I agree in the fact that it is a stereotype and not hateful racism.
However, going by the description of the game (futuristic setting) and this particular character's description, it does bother me. Offensive? Not exactly.

My best friend would bring that game to my house just about everyday, and together we would quest to reach the bottom level.
You know what would be cool? If there was a multiplayer deathmatch map of this, lol. Would be awfully short though I suppose, whoever got the most kills and pulls their chute before going splat.
It's just a skin. If it changed gameplay or something I'd understand being excited. Personally I don't get in the business of pre-ordering stuff, especially just to get things that should be in the game already.
If everyone started complaining or showing their anger, I'm sure we would see change...but no one does that when they should.
When gaming was not popular, I wished that more people would gain interest.
If I knew that it would end up like this, I'd have never wished for it. Casual players have ruined most of it, causing games to be dumbed down for everyone(rpgs) and action games no longer have consequences for dying. When was the last time you played a game that started ended completely when you died too many times?

It's funny that you mention that, I've been watching Top Gear UK on netflix, and it made me wanna play GT5 again too. I slacked off though. I like the game, but I think I'd enjoy it more with a wheel. I can't be bothered to do endurance races with a controller.

Spot on in my opinion. So many people go on and on about how this game got a 9 or that game got a 7 on IGN or some other rubbish site.
If you really care, you will look up info yourself, look at gameplay videos, and listen around to see what NON-PAID people who have played the game have to say.
I can't remember what game it was that got that reviewer fired from gamespot, but after that gamers should have woken up a bit.

I'd understand if this had been a reboot of Superman, the first movie came out in the 70s for pete's sake(yet I promise you if they did remake it, they still couldn't top it).
