I'd love for a return of RPG greatness. Back in the day(PS2) I swear we were practically tripping over RPGs.
@theWB27
A shame that the comments are limited as I would have liked to have continued this a bit.
I guess we'll leave it as, respectfully agree to disagree?
Does the bad news ever stop?
I would start to think that MS wanted out of the console market and were trying to drive people off and cut losses somehow if it wasn't for the fact they claimed to have invested what? A billion dollars into games?
@theWB27
With the Xbox One...for a feature that most would like there's just too much bad that you have to accept along with it.
You are right in that MS is trying to push a digital future, but they are going about it the wrong way. They are forcing too much at once with too many restrictions and it is pissing gamers off, as it should.
Sony is also going in a digital direction, but you don't see them pissing people off the same way do...
The "only" problem is a not a minor one. BUT...even when seeing this as a potential benefit, this would be considered one step forward yet two steps back.
To allow this, they've added hoops you have to jump through, restrictions you have to deal with, and alienated a large number of previous fans with their online rules.
Basically it doesn't solve the system's other problems, a pain in the ass. I'd rather simply not deal with any of ...
This just sounds like a pain in the ass.
I'm part of that number. I couldn't give a damn about a smartphone. A basic cell is good enough for me, don't even use or want internet on my phone.
I hate to even imagine what the gestures would look like...
Then they should have simply given it a different name and not make it part of the Saint's Row series.
Besides, they straight jacked various moves from Prototype.
This caught my interest and I don't care for shooters. However I hope it isn't online only.
If I go next gen, this game is definitely on my list. Looks like a blast.
The system needs to fail, or at least do somewhat poorly.
This isn't about the games, it is about the policies that they are attempting to push.
For all I care they could have the greatest games on the face of the planet but that still means I'd have to accept the nonsense that comes along with it, and no game is worth that.
It seems like a lot of us(gamers) have our eyes wide open. I really...really hope that is true.
I don't want to see this being successful, not because it's Microsoft and Xbox, but because of the foolish policies they are trying to push.
I want them and the publishers to see they can't keep pushing gamers around like this.
If that happens, they will have learned something and so will anyone else that was keen on those same ideas. ...
Looks the same as Hot Pursuit, and probably the same as Most Wanted.
Not impressed. Plus, who is talking? The cars? I see no people, not even through the windshields.
I've been a NFS fan for a long time, but I'm (finally) getting tired of this. They don't listen to fans.
Customization has been wanted for ages, and as close as they have gotten was driving through shops and getting a paint change.
As much as I lik...
You did a great job in explaining your point. Can't argue with that. I think I'll simply say there's plenty of room for both styles(and more) of RPGs. I have and do enjoy both, so I can't really disagree with you.
I am not sure what to think yet. Doesn't look bad but it's not hard to make trailers look good(for most companies).
Will keep an eye out.
This is that game for me.
That one game that fuels the rage and anger deep inside of me.
I will never stop sharing my feelings on this rubbish.
Seriously though, I can't help from being upset every time I see it simply because they took something great and turned it into this. A lot was clearly taken from Prototype. I was hoping for a return to something more like SR2 in regards to the story, a city that felt alive, and lots of activitie...
RPGs generally give the appearance of being open world. Remember the early days of Final Fantasy when you first get out on the world map?
I have no issues at all with open world, why do you want your hand held?
I actually would like a true open world game, you are given an overall main quest with various characters that might be your friends and might help you, betray you, etc. You may meet all the characters, or some of your actions will cause you not to. ...
I hope you guys know that this is done in hopes to get people to accept the new stupid policies that Microsoft are doing with the new Xbox.
They are relying on stupid people to simply say, "OMG A NEW HALO!!! HERE!!! TAKE MY MONEY!! ALL OF IT!!!"
And they will.
Let get this straight, with the Tekken game they are basically selling you continues? Like how an arcade machine is?
