Just blame the new gen of gamers with short attention spans that play shooters all day long that have 2 hour campaigns.
Then we will agree to disagree. A perfect score isn't something the game should get. 9, 9.5, but not a 10. The game is not without problems.
I'm also the kind of person who probably wouldn't give any game a perfect score.
I love the game, but a 10 it is not. A 9 perhaps. Why? The bugs should always knock off a point.
How about......wait for it...
Grand Theft Auto 2050!!!!
We will FINALLY have flying cars!
It's basically the same damn set of games every year...really.
I'm currently waiting on a review or two for rocksmith, both pro and gamer reviews. I'm interested simply because it offers a legit chance to learn guitar, and does it cheaper than what Rockband 3 offers with its pro guitar(referring to the Squier).
Dude here has a point, people keep going crazy over the same damn game
every single year, I just can't understand it honestly.
COD 6 will be the same as 2, 3, 4 etc. Hell, the graphics don't even improve that much, and even if they do....the game is the same with a bit of crap dashed here and there, same goes with most sports games and various other fps out there.
SR3 is a day 1 for me. Everything else I'll need feedback for.
Just Saint's Row 3(PS3) and Skyrim(PC) are potential day 1's for me, the rest can wait till I see what other gamers have to say.
As far as I can see, xbox is a huge money-sink. Every now and then I get tempted to buy one for the one or two games I'm interested in(rumble roses being one of them, lmao)until I go over what I'll end up spending if I want to play online, upgrading the hard drive, etc.
Just not worth it for me. Nothing wrong with it for the ppl who don't mind it though.
I would like to say, to anyone who likes beat-em-ups, God Hand is something you should try. Difficult game too.
Sometimes people feel the need to justify a purchase. This is probably what he is doing. They see other people enjoying a product or a service that they didn't buy themselves, so they try to ruin other's experiences.
To be honest I don't follow game magazines anymore at all. I might pick up one to skim through but that's it. As far as reviews go I will sooner go to amazon and read what the users have to say.
Gamestop....awful place. The main reason I don't like to go there is the constant nagging. I rarely preorder games. I have done it maybe twice in my life, yet gamestop employees are worse than used car salesmen with harassment on the matter.
Same with...
To be honest, I probably would have disliked Oblivion and Fallout if it wasn't for pc mods. I am a console gamer at heart, but those are two examples of games I will only play on pc(even though the PS3 can do mods...maybe devs will take a hint one day).
Oblivion was greatly improved with mods, and I couldn't bear to play the game without them. I played that game for about a year. Fallout...even with mods wasn't really enjoyable to me.
Deus Ex...
Guys, I dunno about any of you, but I've not been amazed with an RPG in quite some time.
Let's see....The Witcher and Oblivion.
Why? Detailed story and lore. Made the fantasy seem like another world you were actually peeking in on from a different point of view.
Dragon Age Origins I liked because of party interaction. I didn't really give a damn about anything else.
Fallout....I liked it but I'm more...
I'm gonna share a basic idea I've been thinking about...
I think we currently have some sort of game recession going on.
Games cost more than ever to make(assuming), and because of that MOST devs and such are afraid to try something different, add in this young generation of gamers who have no attention span and ta-da....you have a market full of fps shooters with no single player mode worth mentioning.
Why try something differ...
No way I'd pay $60 for that. I don't care if it's "about the multiplayer modes".
Not many games these days justify full price anyway, so I don't see why this would be any different.
In my honest opinion, as a person who ISN'T a fan of FPS or shooters in general....I still don't see what the big deal is. Flashlights?
What exactly? Destructable environments isn't a new thing.
This game is just more of the same.
The second I heard this was FPS I lost interest. I am sick of the damn things. FPS RPG? No. If I am playing an RPG, I like seeing my character, plain and simple. IF this game allows that, I may give it a try.
Oblivion did it, fallout 3 did also. Any game that claims to be part RPG in any form should, otherwise it's just plain laziness.
It took me a LONG time to beat shinobi on PS2, I almost went insane during some parts, and I'm sure neighbors could hear me swearing(and I rarely do that when gaming).
After I finished it I traded it off cause I never wanted to see it again.
The one with the female ninja was MUCH easier(forgot the name).
I was happy with the original need for speed, all versions of hot pursuit, and most wanted. I didn't really care for underground, but it was alright.
