Agreed, PC gamers are also more mature. They actually work together. When playing on console everyone tries to go rambo, that completely spoils the expereince for me. On PC you actually have people working together which is awesome, its probably due to the fact that the average PC gamer is of a much more mature age then the console gamer.

Ever wondered why PCs are capable of doing 1080 and beyond in games yet they dont have bluray, while the platform that uses the bluray the most only has 5% of its games in 1080p.
So where do you think the RSX or Xenos GPU turned out from? Sony and MS didnt develop them in house.
Yes they were based on existing PC technologies, they arent the same GPUs that are present in the PC however it was the initial PC tech that was used to make those GPUs had that not been present it would have cost Sony and MS billions to develop and even then may not have been upto par to what they are today.

You realise its the same people whom you call stupid that are funding the tech for your next console, infact they probably are using it at the moment.
No one needs to buy 500usd GPUs to enjoy games. Thats for people who want to be playing on multiple screens, lol you might be getting that with Xbox 1080.
100usd GPUs are more then enough to provide an experience superior to consoles.
Getting it on PC so i dont care :P Why bother paying a royalty to MS or Sony then up end with a lesser version.

Care to list the PS3 exclusives that have sold way beyond 3.5million? i am sure you will only find handful of such games. Most fall between 1.5 - 2.5million, Also remember Sony spends alot on marketing and advertisements of its games. Which means even if it did sell 3million it would not be as profitable as PC game at 3 million.
Another big difference is Sony sells its games on retail, which means they have to incur many more costs such as pac...

I think we are tired of the usual Sony crap people feed everyone on this site. KZ2/3 are strictly corridor shooters with muddy textures every where, its amusing you dont seem to note those.
GOW 3 please that should be the last game you should refer to in terms of graphics. The only thing that looks good in that game is Kratos everything else is low res, static or cut scene.

Theres too many big companies with stakes in PC gaming to let it die. Likes of Intel, Nvidia, AMD just wont let that happen.
Also Since PC can already to 1080@60fps, why would those same PC gamers buy consoles to start paying more for the same games. Console gaming just is expensive in the long run.

i think you need to reread Imvix's initial post, he clearly mentioned Steam, Retail and MMOs. Not just Steam.

When we consider DD sales are more profitable. it goes a bit like this:

Retail 5,000 million usd
Steam 910 Million usd
otherDD 250 Million usd
Total 6160 million usd
MMO market is still unaccounted, which itself is huge.
PS3
Retail sales 7,293 million usd
DD 90 million usd
Total 7,384 million usd

PC games are cheaper, which is why you were able to buy so many so quickly. Buying that many games on console would have cost you a fortune.
The naysayers will say initial price of consoles is cheaper, agreed. However the software later required is so costly on console, that pc easily wins the cost factor.
About 150usd more(its all about the gpu).
Funny they cant make a game to demonstrate the engine, they have to retreat to tech demos.
PC version of RDR is a day one buy. I havent bought the game yet just because i wanted to play it on PC.
Both console versions are running sub 30fps with PS3 version even being Sub HD. I would rather like to play the game in all its glory.

Consoles are supposed to be simple hassle free plug and play machines man, if any of them require water cooling then something aint right.
Water cooling a PC on the other hand is worthwhile if you are willing to put up potential problems. Atleast you do get to realise some of the benefits, Highly over clocked, silent rig.
With all the risks involved with water cooling wth would anyone want to do this. Risks are taken when some gains can be achieved:
Overclocking,
silent operation.
None of those are the case when it comes to consoles, water and electricity arent a good mix imo.
Batman AA was superior on PC too specially with extra effects like physx and 3D. Anyways ill be getting this on PC.
What about the console version, i hope it gets released as a DLC, Id pay 30usd for it /s
