Read my post above initial cost differences are negligible at best. Its the long run that counts, console gaming is always more expensive in the long run.
Just bought batman AC for 39usd, since there is a discount of 20% if you already own another batman game. PC gaming rocks.
I urge you to take a look at some of the Mods for the PC version. Then come back and let us know if your comment made any sense.
If random modders are making stuff like that possible on PC. Imagine what would have happened if the devs themselvs made the game PC exclusive.
There are no PS3 exclusive games that are openworld like GTA4 and actually look good in graphics. Hence i do not feel making it PS3 exclusive would have shown any better results.
Console gaming is expensive dollar for dollar :) and that has been explained here multiple times.

I built a PC back when PS3 launched. It cost me about 800usd. Specs were as follows:
CPU: coreduo 2.4ghz
GPU: 8800gtx
Ram: 4gigs
Today it still plays most games out at 1080p, it even ran batman AA at 1080p maxed out aside the physx. It played games like farcry 2 in 1080p 35-40fps. While that rig even today plays 95% games out in 1080p both the consoles do exactly the opposite having maybe 5% of their titles in 1080p...

Dont think you will need a 2000usd PC to make the graphics look good. A 400-500usd PC will make it look better than console.
700-800usd PC will play the game very close to max settings or maybe even max.
If graphics dont matter then why are so many PS3 gamers on this site trying to convince everyone PS3 is the superior console version?
Dice confirmed both console versions are identical, yet PS3 gamers have to try and score a victory, even though PS3 version suffers from bad screen tearing.
Yet when PC is brought into the equation all of sudden statements will change and the same crowd will say graphics dont matter lol.
For some reason console gamers feel you require super human eyes to tell the difference between 30 and 60fps. Even though the same console gamers will praise a game when it is 60fps on their console of choice(note they will bash it if its actually 60fps on the other console, saying 30fps is enough), Check out all the praise Rage is getting for being 60fps.

Yep but PC is cheaper in the long run. Even if you were to get a 800usd high end PC it would turn out cheaper then console due to cheaper games and execellent discounts that consoles dont have.
Question why is it PS3 fans are saying Graphics dont matter, and then turning their back on the same statement and comparing PS3 and Xbox 360 in terms of graphics then trying to convince everyone how PS3 is graphically superior even though differences are minimal at best.
However when the PC is clearly way ahead the same folks turn their backs and say oh but the graphics dont matter. I bet every each one of them would be throwing an orgasim right now if PS3 had 64 players ran...

Actually most of the money you pay for the console version goes into:
Royalities for Sony, MS
Packaging
transport
retailer margins
damages
returns etc
When a console version sell for 60usd the publisher ends up getting 10-15usd
When a PC version sells for 50usd, the publishers ends up getting 30-35usd.
Hence it actually take consoles to outsell PC 2 times to...
Great to be a PC gamer. Not limited by some console makers decisions on what hardware i play lol.

I hope you have noticed in GOW3 the environment is compeltely static. You cant control camera angles. Which is why the game is not so resource hungry as a game like BF3. Also in GOW 3 there are so many low res textures. Look around the main character and you will see the game is filled with low res textures.
Dam dont they test games any more before releasing lol.

Aside the 2 of those there isnt another FPS that sells so well on console. So do console gamers buy COD because they dont have options of other 60fps first person shooter games? if thats case then...
I could say pretty much the same thing for the games you listed. If you think games like Witcher 2 or Shogun2 arent good id like to have some of what you are smoking.
BTW ICO & SOTC both run on PC via emulation(provided you own a license to the game). Good luck running any of those on the PS3 slim without paying Sony for a remake to a game you already own lol.
Havent bought the game yet, since its not released on Steam. 3 other friends are still waiting too. EA are only crippling their own sales.
