always better to wait and buy games these days. Prices do drop fast. paying 50-60usd on release day can add up fast. Should only be done for games that you really just must have.
Its not just the RPG genre, everything is getting dumbed down so that anyone can pick up and play. Have a look at the shooters out there aim assist lol. 5 years back you wouldnt find a single shooter that has aim assist on it.
Ill end up picking DA2 when its dirt cheap on Steam along with all the DLC, doesnt really deserve day 1 buy.

Lol pretty easy to predict the next COD will be the same 4-5 hour campaign with small maps for MP, DLCs to be announced later. Hardly anything innovative.
People might as well buy DLCs and extend the lives of the 60usd game they bought last year, instead of dishing out another 60. Not that i support the idea of DLCs maps, those should be made free of cost by the community.
Whos buying a GPU every 4-6months? sure tech does move one, but buying a new GPU every 6months is uncalled for. I have friends still runing 4870 with every game running almost maxed out.

Crysis 1 from 2007 Indeed does have multiple times the Resolution, Texture, Drawdistance and FPS given sufficient hardware.
Yes if Crysis 1 is played with console level hardware it will play in 1024*768 @ 25-30fps. Guess why it was never released for console?

its not just a question of still screen shots, PC version running on a 70-100usd gpu will obviously be much smoother then either console.
Fluidity of game play > graphics.
Its the case with every multiplat, Console gamers end up paying more then get a lesser version.
Yea the PC does cost more initially like 300usd more but then almost every game is superior and cheaper. Its even cheaper if people buy these games 2-3months later at dirt cheap prices on Steam discounts like 15-20usd for 2-3month old games.
It may not be dieing but it surely is going down. Console game sales are down year on year, 2009 was worse then 2008, 2009 was worse then 2010. 2011 has had a bad start. This is verified by NPD.
PC gaming on the other hand has been growing. People may disagree and flame however these are actual figures no point disagreeing.

PC gaming has been growing at rapid pace though.
It already is the more popular form of media on PC atleast. Consoles need time to catch up like usual, id give the consoles 5-10years to catch up.
I am sure hes developing the game on a PC ;-) and is playing it at the same time.
