I believe the disc slot is also like a PS3 slim's where it will retract the disc if you eject and wait too long. As deafdani said having an eject button on your controller is a little redundant since you have to get up and get over to the console to switch the disc anyway.
PS4 is selling well because it is widely known to be a strong, affordable and well supported console. It's not "trendy" to own one. It's simply the next big console for gaming enthusiasts and is not hampered by any sort of controversies I can think of. So comparing it to the Wii's success seems inappropriate IMO. It's successful because people see it for how great it is, not because of any particular fad like the Wii remote.
I should add since I'...
That's because I emptied out my bubbles as quickly as I could trying to win a PS4 a few months ago. Most of my comments are all in a single month. Now I comment more conservatively. I don't have the time or patience to do it so much anymore. I also think I add a little to the discussion sometimes. :P
Skyward Sword and Link Between Worlds are the only ones I've played all the way through, so I think Demise so far is the best Zelda villain. I need to play more of the games to better understand characters like Zant and OoT/WW Ganondorf.
You comment on darn near everything, but at least a lot of the time I can agree with you. XD
I hope they let you get custom Mii Amiibos. :)
Only we may see Microsoft and Nintendo switched.
Who is this Mr. Everyone Ever? I see no one on N4G with that name...
Vita has no games, eh? Well I definitely see some Vita games in there. So yes, I'm quite excited for both.
Wii U to Wii U transfer's a good upgrade. I also appreciate being able to navigate the eShop with the other controllers. :)
Concertoine is right on the ball with that comment. Always consider appeal. I don't disagree that Nintendo's launch lineup was decent, but it clearly wasn't very appealing to the mass market. They should have had more exciting games at the ready. You may not like that, but it's true. Not everyone is blindly hateful of Nintendo but rather just don't care for their content and Wii U's launch kind of shows how their brand value isn't infallible.
Wish the footage was direct feed, but it still looks fun and I am looking forward to it. :)
Review was a little harsh IMO. The point of a remake is to give you an older game with a newer flare. So I feel it is a little unfair to take points off for what you feel are flaws in the original game. Remakes should be judged on how well they present an old game as new. The co-op complaint is a good one though. Taking turns is a little too outdated to be called co-op IMO.
Nintendo needs all the games it can get. It would be a silly mistake not to localize this.
Nintendo does have some minor third party support, and that will help but ultimately I think it will play secondary console to the other two. That's what my Wii U will be basically.
Try to consider appeal though. Nintendo Land wasn't showcased very well at all at E3 and it didn't have the same wow factor as Wii sports for the Wii. I personally laughed at it when I saw it because it looked very silly and not really my cup of tea. ZombiU is a better example, but Metacritic wasn't kind to that game so people wound up avoiding it. And after that Nintendo didn't have many games that catered to the gamepad. They're much better now than they were before IMO....
Nice to see the game is still coming. Wish people would focus on the more believable KS games like this one instead of just on the controversial ones.
I think what we should take from this is not that Kickstarter or its projects are inherently bad, but that there is a risk factor for anything you choose to back. It's more like an investment, not a pre-order. So some lousy people will try to get away with scamming others unfortunately. I've backed a couple of KS campaigns like Shantae, Mighty No. 9 and an anime movie, but other than that I'm pretty conservative about what I back. I like waiting 'till late in the campaign to s...
I thought GTAIV, GTAV and Assassin's Creed II had pretty good stories and those were all sandbox games. I think it can be done, you just need to be able to do it right.
How DARE Nintendo stand the test of time?! D:<
