His loss in spending less money? That's a weird thing to call a loss.
People hate console parity because they automatically assume that the strongest hardware is being gimped for the rest when the devs are just making the best of all hardware for their vision.
Gotta go with wonderfulmonkey there. There's shovel but there's just as much neat stuff too.I remember when PSN store first started out it wasn't particularly superb but it improved as a service over time and got bad games as well as great ones. I think Wii U will probably have as much variety.
I don't think they are sacrificing anything. They are simply taking advantage of the lower framerate and making that mode look a little better. Lower frame rates create less strain for the hardware so you can balance it with better visuals. 30FPS is more than likely their "cinematic mode" since it's closer to the cutscenes' framerate.
I don't think it's like that. The game isn't being gimped. They are simply using the engine to make it look a tiny bit better if you choose to play in 30fps. When you have a lower framerate, you can increase game fidelity. That applies to any game. They just let you choose your framerate and fidelity level in the remaster.
Anyone who likes Disney Infinity, such as myself. :P
I like it more when I have the option for both to be honest.
That's how I go into games too. I like playing as someone else and witnessing their story. Though when I have to make story decisions I generally go with what I would normally choose before I try other paths.
Criticism I totally understand! If the rewards are underwhelming then by all means Nintendo should know. I swung over to Destructoid and much of the comments were people angrily declaring they would never use the service again. That to me is like really? That much rage over free stuff? I mean come on. I've only recently started using Club Nintendo and so far I'm enjoying giving my feedback and getting coins. Hopefully all my messages about more games with multiplayer needing netplay w...
That's putting more thought into free stuff than I ever thought to lol. It's not an incredible service. It's just there to get some extra free stuff. I'll never understand why people can get some mad over things like that.
lol it's like the 3DS. Mario Kart comes out and even games that don't need multiplayer have it with online playability.
Having played only Skyward Sword and A Link Between Worlds so far, I believe that Zelda games share a formula and just about nothing else. New dungeons, new gameplay, new stories with lots of different characters and completely different art styles. Maybe I need to play more of them to get a sense of same-ness, but so far I think you are way off base. And wanting Nintendo to go out of business? Pfft, keep dreaming man. Those guys have more coin in the bank than you and I will make in our life...
I don't. Wii U lacks mainstream appeal and Xbox One has too much initial controversy holding back its appeal with gamers. I don't see either one outselling PS4 but I could be wrong. We won't know until we get the sales figures. :P
I'm not so sure. Wii U has been riding neck and neck with Xbox in sales the past few weeks. If Xbox beats Wii U for second place, I don't see it being a cut and dry race for them. It's undeniable that this is Sony's console generation so far though. PS4 is the most popular platform on the market, especially in the west.
Sony made the right move. If they had come out day one without knowing what exactly had happened, there would have been widespread panic and that would have led to a lot of wild rumors and allegations that would have been an even bigger PR disaster for Sony. We should be mad at the hackers who broke into the system, not Sony. Being mad at Sony was exactly what said hackers wanted from the public.
They don't need to reboot it. Just retcon Other M's story line.
I guess the best way to look at it is to not adopt early, because the first year will always be the toughest.
I feel like that should be the other way around. oh well I can't complain at seeing a Sony console doing well especially in Japan. :)
You would also lose some considerable functionality without the gamepad. Amiibos would not be compatible anymore and you lose whatever perks come with the system's UI. I can see why people would desire a gamepadless bundle, but I don't see Nintendo doing it if it gimps the games you can buy.
Depends on the hardware and the game's fidelity which is basically like graphical detail. If a game has high fidelity then it might have to run at a lower framerate. PS4 (especially) and Wii U are stronger than PS3 so they have a chance of running a game better depending on how the developer decides to make their game. I hope that clears it up. :)
