That's a LOT of stuff they'd have to do, but I sure as heck wouldn't mind it if they did those things at all, actually...

I don't think that's much confirmation for the western releases. For all we know they could all still wind up releasing on the same day.

Seems like a stretch since Aonuma has been working on this game for a while and Retro finished Donkey Kong early this year or very late last year. But if Retro is helping development then two thumbs way, way up from me.

Can't they do both? It's not like their gaming division will be working heavily if at all on the QoL stuff. For example you don't have SCEA staff working on products for Sony's film studio.

Comes pretty close to being one though. What with how you connect to other players. I don't think they would do it either. Or at least I hope not. I feel like if that was a thing they would have announced it right from the get-go.

Can't say I disagree. I couldn't afford a subscription on top of PS+. That's just too much, even for a game that looks as good as Destiny.

Well the gunplay me feel like Halo and of course artistically it looks similar. But this is Bungie. Halo is not ALL they know.

That isn't right. The beta is pretty open, so your retailer should have provided you a code. Check in with them.

Way to miss the point LOL_WUT. Microsft and Sony did not start their companies making video game products. Then they did and it was awesome. Companies can expand and do more than just gaming. When Nintendo started did you know they made trading cards and not video games? Nintendo can succeed by expanding. There's nothing inherently wrong about that. Oh, but I guess I can only dream about that too, right?

The author is allowed to have their opinion, but I think it was presented poorly. Who would start an article with such a flame bait headline? This is why I don't like Kotaku very much. Anyway, my excitement for Destiny is not deterred at all. Hopefully Kotaku will rethink their next hands-on impression approach.

With a side of Mass Effect and a little Borderlands on top.

@Xpro Stuff like this is why you have social justice attacks on gaming, you nincompoop.

Borderlands was similar. It had the option to play solo, but I had much more fun playing it with friends. Generally coop experiences can be much more fun because all the memories you get from those games were shared with your friends.

4410d ago 3 agree1 disagreeView comment

Wait, how can they base their opinion off of a 45 minute demo which didn't include the cooperative multiplayer? You know, the core of the game experience? And besides, this is from Kotaku. You don't really need to read past the headline to understand how sensationalized it is.

Well aren't you just a basket of sunshine? Quality of Life is basically a product to help enhance your general health, I think. Anyway, I don't see why this is a big issue. Nintendo is expanding and they've already said video games is their primary focus. They're a big enough company, so why wouldn't they expand into other markets for more revenue. Microsoft was just a computer company and now they're making video games. Sony was just into TVs. Now they make video game...

Why do you feel robbed? You have the option to just avoid those games. It's not like they get in the way of bigger projects either, most of them are made by small branches so as not to get in the way of the bigger projects.

Smoother frame rate and higher resolution on consoles with all of the DLC included on the disc. Not a bad package when you think about it.

They'll only make 'em as long as we buy 'em. I want to get the trilogy, but more than likely it will be on my PS3 if I can save up for it.

4410d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

I could have sworn someone told me that you had the option to either pay the fee for the entire library or you could pay for individual games. Has that not been announced?

4410d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Given how they priced the trilogy on last generation consoles, I wouldn't be surprised if they were $40, maybe $50 for the current generation ones. Really kind of a steal given how the older games were $60 a piece at launch.
