Yeesh, the enemies don't pose a threat? Why the heck did they design it that way? :/
@traumadisaster That's $100 that not everyone can just blow on a device they may not even want. For folks like me that's a lot of money that needs to be put toward something I need or will enjoy. :/
Anymore at least. The original Kinect was pretty successful from what I heard, but the novelty wore out by the time Xbox One was announced.
I can only think of two: Dance Central and Gunstringer. Those were pretty good games and it's because they utilized Kinect in a well thought out manner. Beyond that... lots of Wiimote-waggle-esque shovelware.
Couldn't they have just mapped the voice commands into the XB1 headset? Kinect seems very inessential for what it does. :/
@denawayne It's refreshing to hear a more neutral opinion on the matter. Anyway, I actually want a PS4 now because it is cheaper and because it has some games I actually do want to play. Indies, InFamous, the upcoming splurge of big titles this Fall, I'd love to have a PS4 for those reasons. With Xbox One, I wouldn't mind getting one later, but I don't think I could buy one at $500 without getting a heavy feeling of buyer's remorse lol.
Yup, I totally work at Bungie. No way in heaven could I POSSIBLY just be a normal gamer with a genuine interest in Bungie's cool looking new game. ;P
It really isn't an MMO, but players will be able to interact with a lot of other players through public events and things like that. It will be as close to an MMO style level of interaction as possible without actually being one, or at least that's what it is to my understanding.
I think that's a bit of an exaggeration, at least specifically for Halo. No two Halo games were exactly like in single or multiplayer. The weapons often changed and they've added so many new features since the first game.
That's generally because MMOs connect you with so many other people and they expect you to meet and join up more naturally than matchmaking is. I prefer the safe and sound approach with games like these. Public games are not really something I'm into.
Hard to compare the two. Titanfall is an arena style multiplayer shooter. Destiny is more of a coop adventure game with competitive elements, like Borderlands (except more epic).
That's a lot of really cool stuff. Certainly not expected, but at least Nintendo will be at E3's show floor and doing a bunch of stuff. Gimme mah Zelda U and Metroid and I'll take everything else with a big ol' smile on my face! :D
The E3s where they had Mario Galaxy and Skyward Sword were pretty good ones. The casual games were kept to a minimum and it got a lot of people excited. Don't know where it went after that.
Just go in with low or moderate expectations. I'm easy to please, so it's cool for me to stay excited lol. Nintendo won't disappoint, I think. There's going to be a lot of Smash stuff and the digital event sounds fun.
@Heisenburger To be fair, Nintendo would basically be restricted to a single hour on the E3 stage. I get the feeling that they plan on doing a LOT of stuff that would largely exceed that time. Unlike last year, it looks like staying off the stage is a little more justified this time.
I think they can deliver. Most people who want a Wii U are looking out for the new Zelda and this Smash Bros. live tournament will probably be very exciting to watch. Glad Nintendo is getting more interactive with the fans. :D
Iwata has even said that their primary focus is still gaming. I think people are just exaggerating the circumstances to make it seem worse than it actually is. Nintendo's made toys and trading cards but when push came to shove, gaming was their strongest market. I don't think that will change here since QoL will probably for people who actively try to maintain their health and not young people who play video games.
Not to mention a lot of money. I really don't see why people aren't looking at the bigger picture. Nintendo's game department would not be working on QoL. For all anyone here knows it could be a huge success and net Nintendo even more money to put into games.
Wait, are you saying a meteor is going to hit Nintendo of Japan HQ? o.o
Glad to see people are still excited for it. :) And yes, I'd be jealous of those folks as well lol.
