You mean doing what they want inside of gaming, right? Because Iwata is talking about outside of gaming. Not the same thing at all, obviously.
All I can say is this: I like Nintendo's current approach with Wii U, or at least the potential it has. With the right games and some good marketing they can make a respectable profit off of the system like with the GCN. But that starts when Nintendo plays their cards right and makes games gamers want to play.
@MasterCornholio A little off-topic much? The OP was refuting the idea that the 3DS is not selling well by comparison to other handhelds which is one of the first points the author started with. At no point in his comment did he say anything about Nintendo doing well in all departments.
@MrSwankSinatra Actually I do think those who know about the Wii U and understand it want one, but they desire a lot more incentive to own it. Better features and games and all of that.

People ARE buying Xbox Ones. Just not in droves like PS4. Xbox One is probably going to enjoy second place this generation unless Nintendo pulls a turnaround for Wii U. In which case I can see this as Microsoft and Nintendo's race for 2nd. What I do agree with is that Sony will indeed dominate.
Some fans get easily misled and cling to good news, even if it's false. Other times people are just willfully ignorant.
That's the worst part, I was at one point misled to believe that the numbers were indeed sold to consumers and not shipped. That was all based on misinformation. It starts with the source, let me tell ya.
How very comprehensive looking. Wonder how many options there are. It would be cool to have Skyrim levels of customization.
Why not personalize it? The whole concept of Destiny revolves around a large group of individuals fighting together. All different people of different backgrounds and skills.

Yeah, Nintendo's shareholders will probably get a new guy who eliminates all of Nintendo's franchises and reduces Mario to cruddy mobile games. You know Iwata's approach may not be perfect, but it's certainly not the worst one you can pick for Nintendo even with Wii U sales considered.
