Not quite everything. As far as we know there's no subscription and parts of it are still isolated to a three player coop experience.
At what point did they ever refer to Destiny as an MMO? They only say it has some elements comparable to modern MMOs, such as the level of interaction between players.
I agree completely. Most of my best memories are by playing cooperatively with friends. I would choose that almost anything else, including single player. Some games are not fit to have coop for sure, but this game is structured around coop. I smell greatness awaiting!
But how many of those indie games were of high quality though? Many of them were akin to dinky little games you could play on a web browser. For more ambitious projects, their policy on forcing indies to find publishers is ludicrous. Also Jonathan Blow and Team Meat had every right to be pissed at Microsoft for how they handled their games.
Both Sony and Nintendo support the self-publishing model. Why it's taken Microsoft so long to get with the program is beyond me.
Could be worse. Once upon a time their focus was only on TV and DRM. Now it seems like it's going to be a lot of things, and E3 may very well tell us that games will be a big part of that.
You're satisfied with Microsoft actively allowing LESS content? Also indies need all the help and ease they can get given how hard and expensive game development can be.
Microsoft has definitely been slow to appease developers lately. Something they really should work on. Nintendo too. Sony's the only one of the big three that really played their cards right with devs this generation.
If they ever do a Skylanders type game with Pokemon, they should totally sell some toys for powerups or even characters through McDonald's as a promotion to get the game started. Maybe even include a download code for an exclusive demo? I don't know, I think it would be neat.
@Clown I get the feeling that the kids in your area make up a silent minority. Pokemon is still super popular globally.
People are still into Mickey Mouse and how long has he been around now? I'd be surprised if Pokemon ever stops being so popular.
That accursed sponge... I vaguely remember those Pokemon toys. My family never ate at Burger King though, so we never had a chance to get any.
Me first, chump. XP
Glad to see that Child of Light is getting high praise. :D Looking forward to when I get to play it.
Certainly makes up for all of the Assassin's Creed games lately.
Ubisoft might update with Platinum support later. Hopefully fan feedback will convince them to do so like with Scott Pilgrim vs. The World's online multiplayer.
Looks so gorgeous and fun to play. Funny how both titles have light in their names but only one of them is being well received.
Something to be announced at E3 perhaps?
Someone pointed out to me that Rocksteady didn't have a great track record before they did the Arkham games. Never count out an aspiring developer with ambitious ideas. ;)
Looks sick. I want to play the beta. So much to wait for . -.-
