We'll see how it is as far as the next big thing is concerned. If they want it to catch on, it needs to be affordable and it needs to work with people's everyday devices.
It also costs extra money and the glasses do factor in as a negative. It hurts your eyes and the extra payoff isn't worth it.
Not surprising to me. Yoshida is all about the industry as a whole, not just Sony. Wouldn't surprise me at all if Sony has more people like that.
What I'm wondering is whether or not we'll see any major differences between developers. Like how Treyarch weren't quite on par with Infinity Ward with design but the stories were bizarrely entertaining.
Especially for one of the most popular franchises in history.
Competition is always helpful. Without Nintendo and Microsoft, Sony probably wouldn't have turned out as great with video games as they are now.
Haven't yet tried Ghosts. What made it so much worse than previous games?
Why comment something you don't care about at all though? If it's a new and unexpected announcement then I kind of get it.
You're surprised that a new Call of Duty was announced? What's the matter with you?
Watch Dogs will have its own appeal. I don't think it needs to be compared to GTAV.
That is unless Rockstar actually does decide to remaster GTAV on the new consoles and PC.
The face of gaming vs. the most controversial game series since Mortal Kombat... that's quite a link. o.O
Such a shame. Some open world games are nothing alike. Just Cause 2 for example...
Is Watch Dogs ready to stand against the appeal of Sleeping Dogs/Saints Row? Come on, isn't this a trope now? Let Watch Dogs be its own entity.
Wait... WHAT?! How does this even compute?
@ACE That's too bad. :( I feel some of the finest games had turn based battles. Paper Mario and the Mario & Luigi games are among my favorites. There are more I could think of but I'm too lazy right now lol.
Perhaps Metacritic doesn't need to go, but it is fundamentally flawed and holds way too much power over the industry. If it doesn't have to go, it definitely needs to be reworked.
That's the most ironic thing I've read all day.
I see what DragonKnight is saying. If he's basing this 5/10 on Ubisoft's involvement and not on any actual flaws in the gameplay or design then it's a pretty dumb and bias review. No one is dumb for liking or disliking something, but they can have really dumb reasons for it, I think.
@JOEgolferG Well, sure. A number of decisions for the PS4 were made after Microsoft announced certain things about Xbox One. The 360 obviously helped Sony achieve something better after PS3. Competition, even newer competition, can definitely be a good thing.
