I just hope it's not in the same art style as Link's Awakening/Echoes of Wisdom. I want it to be more ambitious than that. Not a glorified mobile style game.
I wouldn't be surprised if that Mario Kart game they teased has been done for years and they've just been sitting on it. It didn't look all THAT different from MK8. It was probably intended for the Switch Pro, before it got axed in favor of the Switch OLED.
I doubt Switch 1 games are going to look/run better on Switch 2 by default. Games will either need to be patched or remastered.
To be honest, this is kind of what I wanted. I didn't want Nintendo to overthink it and get weird with the Switch successor. No need to fix what isn't broken. Just improve on an already great formula! It seems to check all the boxes I wanted for the system...
More powerful? Check
Bigger? Check
Sleeker? Check
Backwards compatible? Check
I mean, this is pretty much what I envisioned/hoped it would be.
That's what I'm saying. Nintendo has no one to blame but themselves. You can't just sit on information forever and not expect leaks to happen. Especially hardware that you've already sent blue prints out to 3rd party accessory manufacturers. This video should have dropped back in December during the VGA's PRIOR to blue prints going out.
Its not about when I personally wanted it to drop. Its the fact that the longer you sandbag news like this, the greater the risk you run of it leaking out. This should have been shown back in December during the VGA's. That would have been the perfect time! If you remember, the original Switch trailer was first shown in Fall of 2016 and then launched in 2017. They didn't wait all the way to freaking January. Nintendo should have followed a similar cadence with Switch 2. Why they ...
500.00??? For THAT level performance? LMAO!!!
400.00.
I dont have a squirt of sympathy for Nintendo. They dragged their feet on this for too damn long! This video should have released a month ago and it serves them right that it leaked!
@Neonridr
Yeah I noticed that too. I also noticed there were 24 starting grids on the track, which would be the most MK has ever had. Graphically I was just a little underwhelmed by it. I thought we'd see a bigger leap in visuals. Maybe when we see more footage it will be more eye-popping.
I definitely need to see more of it because that 5 second clip just looked like MK8 Deluxe.
My Switch stays in its dock 90% of the time. But on the occasions I do play handheld I use the Split Pad Pro as well.
XSS level performance is more than acceptable to me. It's going to be a 1st party machine for me anyway, and we all know that Nintendo optimizes their games as well as anybody in the business.
Well...that's not console, is it. He specifically said console. We don't care what PC's are doing because we are CONSOLE gamers.
Rather than a KZ2 remake, I'd rather see them do a KZ reboot! If they're going to do a remake, I'd rather see a PS5 remake of KZ Mercenary! Hands down one of the best Vita games and the 2nd best Killzone game in the series (after KZ2).
Sweet! I'm looking forward to this!
I agree that it was too long. I felt the same way about Uncharted 4 and actually enjoyed Lost Legacy more, as it was a better length.
Chloe was extraordinary in all the right places! :-)
I'm very excited to see more about this game!
I guess, but if they're looking for something to push sales of new/more powerful hardware, a top down game isn't exactly something to do that. I'm not necessarily wanting an open world BOTW style game, but something in the vein of Twilight Princess would be great!
