Nah, I'll buy Halo MCC for PS5 Pro. Switch 2 will continue to be my Nintendo 1st party machine. I just can't buy inferior 3rd party ports, even taking portability into consideration.

I'll buy Halo MCC in a heartbeat. They can keep Snore Sim 24 though.

Its over dude. It's done. I domt understand why so many Xbox fans haven't come to grips with this yet. Xbox studios IS going 3rd party! "#thewholeslate" remember?

They wouldn't anyway. Sales/engagement for Final Fantasy, or any type of Japanese game, are always abysmal on Xbox. Square knows this. So anytime they talk about being more multiplat, they're really talking PS5/PC/Switch 2. That's where they will make their money.

MS could've paid more, but chose not to. Don't blame Sony.

372d ago 7 agree1 disagreeView comment

They don't have to. Xbox is already doing a good enough job of that to themselves.

Well that certainly won't be much to combine.

@Profchaos. Easier to do when you use a graphics engine that's 2 generations old.

Lol what??

Uh huh, and were you singing this tune when MS was buying up all those developers/publishers and further shrinking the 3rd party pool?

378d ago 19 agree1 disagreeView comment

But what will that mean for us? Will we get to pop a PS3 disk into the PS5 and play it, or will we have to purchase them all over again digitally? Or would they be kept behind a PS Plus paywall like they are right now?

Lmao! Bless your heart!

Yeah, it's easier to do when you're not pushing any technical envelopes. When you just make glorified 3DS games and up the resolution, you can take more time polishing and ironing out bugs.

380d ago 0 agree2 disagreeView comment

@Kneetos lmao no it's not! On a "technical" level, which is what you said, TOTK is not impressive at all. Games like Horizon Forbidden West, Red Dead Redemption 2, Ghost of Tsushima, Death Stranding, Lies of P, etc are all WAY more technical marvels than TOTK. Now, if you want to say TOTK is CREATIVELY more impressive than other games, you could have an argument there. But no, on a technical level, TOTK isn't doing anything all that special because the Switch hardware is...

Everyone loves to praise him posthumously now and remember him fondly, but let's not get it twisted. At the time of the WiiU, nearly everyone was barking for his job!

Frankly I HATE the direction Nintendo went in, starting with the Wii and focusing solely on underpowered hardware and staying behind in console tech. I much prefer the N64/Gamecube era when they were still making powerful hardware. I understand WHY they pivoted, but I still hate it and that was on Iwata...

You're a fool if you believe the CEO's paycut actually saved jobs. That is merely a symbolic gesture to show that all are accountable, even those at the top. I think it's a noble gesture to be sure! I commended him for doing it at the time. But realistically it wouldn't have saved jobs.

Dude, Breath of the Wild is SOOO overrated! It might have more interactivity, but that world is so empty! I was completly bored of it after about 15 hours. I never even finished it. I hear TOTK was better, but I never bothered after the boredom of BOTW. If that game was called Bob's Adventure, instead of Zelda, it would've been panned by critics and wouldn't have sold much at all.

And charge for them as if they're huge budgeted projects. If Mario Wonder had any other name attached to it besides Mario, it would've been a digital only release for about 30 bucks on the digital store fronts. The only difference in budget between it and say, The Plucky Squire, is one has "Mario" in the name. Yet one sells for 60.00 and one sells for 35.00. Ridiculous!

@Nintentional2

"Cherry picking"? Lol ok if that's what you want to call it but that is a pretty substantial list of 1st party titles that couldn't hit 60fps. I never said ALL of them, I just said quite a few of them and there's more that I didn't list.

And you bringing PS4 into the argument is ridiculous because we've been into the PS5/XSX generation for 4 years now. My point is we've been enjoying 60fps gaming as a st...

The C-suite pay cuts are just symbolic to help maintain morale. It's not enough to actually save jobs. What saves Nintendo is their game development is nowhere near on the scale as other studios, yet they charge for them as if they were. The "ROI" on Nintendo games is way higher because people naively pay big budget prices for low budget products, hardware included! Do you realize that the Switch hardware has not had a single price cut since launch?? That's almost 8 ye...
