So what? Playstation has always relied on 2nd party titles and 3rd party deals to round out its library. If the games are good, who cares if they're 1st or 2nd party. That's exactly why. At the time of release, the PS5 userbase wasn't a 3rd of what the PS4 userbase was when Remake was released. Though I'm glad they didn't, Square probably should've released it as a cross gen title.
