The problem with that example dead_eye is that Mass Effect 2 is not an old game for the PS3. In fact a little less than 2 months AND you get all the DLC that was from XBLA that came in bits and pieces, and that you have a short for ME1. It's also about the same price in retail stores.
Reach is out for about close to 6, and store retailers have it cheaper than what they have with games on demand.
I would have gone with the PSP games as your example. Those ...

No it means that amazon wants your sale over Gamestop, BestBuy, etc.
The main situation in which we should 100% judge it is when the game is out more or less.

This is the problem: They CAN control it when you look at the method that's going on.
For XNA which people pay $100 annually to be able to make the indie games, and DBP releases the same files which you can get for the contest uses the same stuff, kinda means they need to re-evaluate how they're doing this situation. They could have made it so that the files from the DBP XNA was encoded differently than the other ones.

Honestly with the amount of stuff you're able to do in it, it's worth the $3.
Can you call it a demo? Yea. But from what people say, the stuff you experience on it is not in the full game.

I prefer DW5 though out of all the games. DW7 has noticeable improvements for better or in a few cases worse.

I meant it's more of taking that score at mass value and ignoring the content written into it. The problem being is that those kinds of reviews that don't inhibit money into their views are few and far apart.

I'm surprised people are still interested in the series when Crysis 1 had a very predictable story, unoptimized engine(hence why you needed the best stuff at that time to even play it on max), and in Crysis Warhead the MP wasn't all that great. =\
