You still are going off on a tangent. He mentioned nothing, I repeat, nothing about Microsoft owned IPs (or IPs that Microsoft funded, as another user tried to bring up). It was a comment about first party games, as in games DEVELOPED by studios owned by Microsoft. Talent that, for the lack of a better word, Microsoft owns. And so far the only games developed by Microsoft owned studios this gen, that have been released, are 2 Forza games and a Halo game (and a K...

To answer your question, yes, it's possible for Until Dawn to be considered AAA simply because of the budget (using Hayden Panettiere might have been pricey among other things). Do you remember when Microsoft cancelled a Kinect game for the 360, and ported it to the Xbox One as a launch titles (Ryse). Did you consider that an AAA game? If so, then you are a hypocrite and your attempt at sarcasm has failed.
It's funny your response to Bath...
@ gansta red
His comment was specifically about first party support, so the games playable listed do not get recognized, simple because they are not first party. Nobody said anything about third party games not existing. Your response is as irrelevant as his. Stop trying to prove points with irrelevant responses.
Someone mentions first party support, and you guys wants to respond with third party support. How does that counter anything related to first party ...
He specifically said first party IPs. Of the list you made only Fable legends is developed by a first party studio. Phantom Dust had been postponed (or cancelled). The rest are from third party developers. You just strengthened his point of poor first party support. At the moment only Halo TMCC (ironically, a remaster) and Forza (a yearly franchise) are first party retail games on the Xbox One. Halo 5 and Forza 6 are slated to release later this year. All those games are a part of the Halo, G...
How about the millions of gamers that only had a 360 last gen, they may not have played this game. There are also millions of PS3 gamers that didn't play this game last gen, for whatever reason. They can play it on PS4.
Just because a series is old doesn't mean people cannot get into it late. I've never played a Halo game (besides ODST), but when I get an Xbox One I will be buying Halo TMCC and Halo 5 because Ive become intrigued by the lore of Halo. Peoples inter...
Oh really? Please do tell how many remasters we have this gen vs. new releases. You'll find there are about 10 remastered games this gen, and a whole lot more new releases. Even if you consider capcom stating their focus of remasters in the future, that's just one publisher out of many. Remasters don't replace new games, they supplement them.

Not all Americans came from Europe. There were people here before the Europeans arrived :)
That makes sense. But I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility for it to sell 100 million. Time will tell.
What do you mean "finally beat the Wii"? Sony already has two consoles that sold more than the Wii, and another that's still selling relatively well (with the potential to break 100 million sold IMO, with a price drop it could continue to sell well in tier 2 countries). The PS4 is also on pace to sell more than the Wii.

You joined this site about 65 days ago, Mariahelfutura stopped posting long before that. How could you possibly know enough about that account to make any kind of correlation? Unless either a) you are just jumping on a bandwagon of other users making the claim, or b) you had an account before that most likely lost bubbles for trolling.
On topic:
It's good news that this gen consoles are selling well collectively. This is probably ...
Show me a $400 PC that can do 4k 30fps you speak of. Otherwise, stop bringing oranges (high priced PCs) to an apples to apples comparison ($400 console).
Why would you want a dynamic resolution on the PS4 if it's a constant 1080p throughout?
Its rather odd seeing someone commenting about a game not hitting 1080p 60fps, when their console of choice has issues hitting 1080p in general.
@ Andrew
The ps4 was revealed before the Xbox One, how come there were no mention of any DRM during the console reveal? It's because no policy was set, even if it was being debated amongst them, it wasn't announced.
Even before E3 the public made it clear that we didn't like the policies MS was going with. Microsoft chose to run with it anyway despite public outrage, Sony didn't. Seems more like Sony listened to the gaming public (which is goo...
I'm curious to see what Microsoft has until Christmas... Besides multiplats.
It's like some people forget there are 12 months in a year. You'd think these people hibernated for 10 months or something. Pavlov ain't got nothing on Microsoft, the way they have these people conditioned.
@ yi-long
You could have saved a lot of time if you just wrote "I don't know what original means", since that's basically the sum of your comment.
More games to play than on the Xbox One though. Also don't forget, there are also multiplats available, you can also include the superior version of those games too.
i think people consider those franchises tired because that was the gist of the 360s rotation for the majority of last gen. Each year had the release of Halo, followed by GeoW, followed by Forza, then repeat (with not much else, especially after 2009). The 360 heavily relied on these franchises last gen with each one having at least 4 games last gen alone. With the PS3, I don't believe there was a franchise that exceeded 3 games last gen, most of them only had 1-2 games, not to mention a ...
What are these 5 new AAA IPs?

Quality over quantity you say? I totally agree, but let's look at the sales and reviews numbers you speak of (but obviously didn't research one bit). Now these are for each game in the franchises that have released on consoles.
GeOW = (94+93+91+79)/4 = 89.2
Uncharted = (88+96+92)/3 = 92
GeOW sold over 22 million as of 2014 (22/4 = 5.5)
Uncharted sold over 17 million as of 2012 (17/3 = 5.6)
