What's your opinion on a consumer that may have bought an Xbox One at launch under the impression that Kinect was an integral part of the console, that would not be decoupled from the console, that would be a heavy focus in core gaming? He has a right to bash the game just as you have the right to defend it. It's called having different viewpoints.

Destiny is only one game though, hardly a fair comparison.
1) Nintendo did not introduce the analog stick, the thumb stick on their N64 pad was actually digital not analog. Sony introduced an analog joystick before the N64 controller released, not to mention the thumbsticks on their controllers were actually analog and released before Nintendo released an actual analog stick.
2) They did not bring us motion controls. They started R&D for motion controls after Sony, but rushed it to market and was able to capitalize on an relatively inaccu...

MGS Ground Zero and CoD Ghosts are 1080p on PS4 and 720p on Xbox One, that's over twice the amount of pixels the GPU is outputting. You asked for one game, I named two, happy? Most games output almost 50% more pixels on the PS4 relative to the Xbox One (1080p vs 900p).

If gamers shouldn't expect 3rd party developers to maximize the tools given to them by each platform and provide us with the best experience possible (within reason), then perhaps they shouldn't expect gamers to buy their games.

Microsoft is the only console available in a country that has a population higher than many tier 1 countries combined, and has been starved of consoles for the past 14 years. Why don't you spout that statistic?

By 2008, at its second year on the market, the PS3 had almost double the sales the WiiU had in the same time frame (16 million vs. 8 million). You call that dismal? The PS3 sold well from the start, much better than the WiiU by comparison, which is why it was able to dwindle the year headstart Microsoft had. You have no clue what you are talking about. Even the GameCube had more than 8 million consoles sold after being on he market for 2 years.
