So when someone uses the term "raping the land"... say, of natural resources... are they refering to forcefully sticking your meat in the Earth? Or are there other definitions of rape?
They tried to force anti consumer policies... When the majority of gamers did not want it. Sounds like rape to me.
No more disc swapping for the next gen... time for some game swapping instead. HDD is running out of space? No problem, just delete games and swap them for new ones. Swapping is an integral part of Microsoft consoles. /s
Although the issue of limited HDD space can be circumvented... Microsoft sure does not like to make things convenient.
You forgot games like Little Big Planet, Heavy Rain, Sly Cooper, MLB the Show, PSBAR, Ni No Kuni, God of War, White Knight Chronicles, Tales of Graces and Xilia, War hawk, Twisted Metal, Disgaea, Persona 4 Golden... Just to name a few.
But it's a completely different type of device... With a different functionality and purpose. People buy TVs, cars, houses, etc that cost more... But what does that have to do with consoles?
Why are you comparing the cost of the Xbox One to portable devices rather than comparing it to it's competition that does pretty much everything it can do for $100 less?
Don't you mean... If you want 360 games that were cancelled and ported to the Xbox One... get an Xbox One? I wouldn't consider the Xbox Ones launch line up worth the 3 year drought of exclusives 360 gamers had to endure just so the Xbox One could have launch titles. That seems to be a fact Microsoft fanboys tend to overlook. So what are you going to do when Microsoft drops support for the core gamer like they did with their previous consoles?
@tim
You call starving your userbase of core exclusives for 3 years and cancelling a bunch of 360 games, just to have them release on the Xbox One, focusing on games?
@ Xboxfun
Enhance gaming? Kinect has been out since 2010 and has not enhanced the core gaming experience for the 360 in any relevant way. What makes you so confident that that Kinect 2.0 will be any different? Microsoft has done a lot of talk in regards to what the Kinect 2.0 could do, but have they shown actual gameplay demos of what it can do? If you have seen Kinect 2.0 in action with actual gameplay, that shows how it enhances the gaming experience, then please provide me...
@ unholy
You missed another difference. One will stop providing free games once their next gen console is released. The other will continue to provide content after their next gen console is released.
@ Fireseed
Isn't Breaking Bad available on Netflix?
@ u got owned
According to that list the number 10 spot for PS4 pre-orders is held by Fifa at 35,095. For all you know Infamous: SS could have 35,094 pre-orders... which would not be enough to make the top 10 but place it above Titanfall. Poor attempt to try and bash Infamous: SS without even knowing the pre-order data.
@ ovnipc
I remember when they said PS3 has no games... look how that turned out.
The 89,000+ people that pre-ordered Destiny (both consoles)?
@ Jokesonyou
No he does not make a fair point, because he only applied it to one side of the equation. Fact is both will be supporting digital purchases next gen, gamers know this, and gamers are anticipating it for both systems. You say Microsoft is actively promoting it without realizing Sony does not need to promote it for the PS4 because it is something already available for the PS3 (so it's to be expected on the PS4). Just because Sony is pro disc-based games does no...
@ Elite24gamer
What are you talking about? While you are waiting for next gen to purchase day 1 digital games, PS3 gamers are enjoying it now (have been for a while). For every Xbox gamer that is looking forward to downloading games, there is a Playstation gamer awaiting the same thing. On top of that you have Playstation gamers that are accustomed to it already. If you are going to attribute digital sales to the lack of physcial pre orders for Xbox One games, the exact same ...
@ Element
Your response was completely irrelevant to his comment. He was not praising any company as if it was a Deity as you make it out to be. He was making a point. A point that if Sony takes the US market, Microsoft has no chance of outselling them... which makes sense. You are just coming off as someone trying to be apathetic, a bit too hard at that. The whole argument about Sony and Microsoft being companies looking for profit is old and tired. Obviously they both want ...
@ No_Limit
It states in the article that sharing one Gold account for multiple users on one console is for the Xbox One, it does not mention that feature for the 360.
The catch is that after they convert everyone each former member of the Family Pack will receive their own Gold account; but what will happen when that subscription ends? Each member will have to renew @ $60/Gold account in order to have XBL gold on the 360 (as opposed to $99 for 4 Gold accounts...
Why should the responsibility be forced upon the consumer to pay for a peripheral just so that developers have an incentive to utilize it?
I understand third party developers don't want to waste time and money utilizing a peripheral that people may or may not have. But that doesn't equate to the consumer (that genuinely wants an Xbox One) being forced paying extra for a peripheral that developers may or may not utilize (for anything more than just tacked on features)....
I believe the statement was "... you would want to get a second job" which, it's context, is completely different than "get a second job" (as you stated).
