Your comment is very high in sodium. It's not PS4 gamers fault that a lot of Xbox Ones mulitplats are a lower resolution. If it doesn't bother you, why comment like that? If it does, why not direct your anger at the manufacturer of the hardware?

Seems like you are leaving out Gears judgement because it will have a negative impact on the average of the franchise. The fact that you left out a game because you felt it was crap completely negates any point you are trying to make. Microsoft has trained you well. Not only do they leave out things and change goalposts when they don't like something, now they have gamers doing it to. Amazing.

Why are people saying Uncharted 4 is 900p? Only the MP is 900p, the single player is 1080p?

I don't mind any resolution as its a decision by the developer, and its for the best interest of the game. But if I have an option to get a game at a higher resolution at the same price, I'll take it. Just like if I have the option of getting better quality food at the same price, I will... Even though both will nourish me, why not get better quality (in any form) for the same ...

None of the games you mentioned share the same status as Halo does with Microsoft. Halo is the single most important IP to Microsoft, it's their most invested IP. It's not merely a AAA game, or an exclusive. It's THE game. When something is held to that standard, being good doesn't always cut it.

@ Slaphappy

Let's also be fair...
PS4 has more exclusive titles doing the whole "quality" thing - Microsoft's mantra - and have games above 90 on metacritic to boot.

Two years in and not a single exclusive above 90.

Just a bit of information.

Not counting remasters, as you put it, only two Xbox One exclusives scored in the 80s this year. Halo 5 and Forza 6. Both of which are supposed to be Microsoft's top of the line IPs, neither broke 90. PS4 on the other hand has Bloodborne above 90. Tearaway Unfolded, MLB 15, and Disgaea 5 are in the 80s. Even if you add in remasters, that gives one more Xbox One game in the 80s, while it would add two for the PS4.

No matter how you slice it, P...

In the link you provided the document states the complaint was submitted on July 31st 2014 (There were motions to transfer and motions to dismiss the complaint, which is why the date of that document is August 21st 2015), and the allegation mentioned the total of over 2.37 million sold. It explicitly states the number derived from the court documents, and are not numbers "revealed by Sony in Sept of 2015", as you put it. It seems like GT6 sold over ...

85 is a very good score, but this is a Halo game, canon no less. This is supposed to be Microsoft's cream of the crop. You would expect it to be held to a higher standard than other games (where an 85 is a great score). Perhaps it's telling enough when Halo fans have to hold the game to the same standards as just another game, rather than the standards set forth by the Halo franchise itself. What I noticed is that with TMCC, the MP was broken, and fans then l...

Someone is more likely to buy something if they are aware of it. If there is a product more consumers are likely to buy, it is more likely to get support. More support is relevant to us gamers. How is it so hard for people to grasp these correlations. It's like the whole "how do sales benefit gamers" argument. Like really, you can't make the connections?

Although success is a matter of perception, as is a matter of the standards set by the person/entity themselves, this admission is two fold. Announcing this new metric is an admission of defeat in the realm of competition, in leiu a more personal level of success. It's kind of like you have two competing sports teams, one cannot beat the other, so they announce "we are not going to measure our success in how many games we win, but rather how many superstars we have playing for us&quo...

I'm not acting like all the enemies are 30FPS, I'm aware that there is a distance to which they are 30 FPS. Not every aspect of Killzone used temporal reprojection, but that didn't stop some users from claiming KZ wasn't 1080p.

All I'm saying is that you are going to have a lot of the people that denounced KZ as 1080p because SOME of the game used temporal reprojection, claim Halo 5 is 60 FPS even though SOME of it is running in...

@ Neonridr

So when Killzone Shadowfall used temporal reprojection for certain parts of the game, the game was no longer 1080p; but when Halo 5 has enemies running at 30 FPS, the game is still 60 FPS? That doesn't seem fair.

To be clear, I do not think anything about Halo 5 is negative since I haven't played it, and I am looking forward to playing it.

Not for nothing but only Crackdown 3 and Sea of Thieves are first party. The other games you mentioned are relying on the talents of third party studios.

And why must Killzone be a Halo killer? If that's the case, is Gears any less of a franchise because it has failed to kill Uncharted (better rated series and more sales). Is Forza bad because it had failed to kill GT despite yearly releases (GT as a franchise has a higher weighed average than ...

He mentions 60 fps looks great. He clearly stated he prefers the art style of a game, hence his choice in Destiny. How you got a conflicting statement from that, I do not know.

One of the biggest line ups ever for Xbox you say? Is that because Gears, Halo, and Forza are releasing in the same year? If I recall correctly, in 2011 these three franchises were also released within the same year, what makes this year so different, other than a timed third party exclsuive? It might be a bigger deal if it was the first time its been done. Personally, I think the momentum is due to the pricing and bundles being offered. The $299 Dell promo is an...

The difference is that there is no added cost to the consumer with the dualshocks touchpad. So having something you do not use and are not paying for is neglible. The cost of the WiiU gamepad increases the cost of the console, as its passed to the consumer. So its not unreasonable that people don't want to pay for something that do not want or don't intend to use.

People are missing out on Nintendo's exclusive not because they fear chang...

Is that supposed to justify the additional $150 for Kinect? Especially considering I can just hold the Xbox button on the controller and have the system turn on with little effort (remember you are going to have to grab that controller anyway to play the games). Turning off the console is just two steps. Hold the Xbox button and select turn off console. It's not as if the controller won't already be in your hands most of the time.
