Those list of features for the Xbox One are really impressive, but you are being extremely biased in listing literally every feature for Xbox One and hardly any for PS4. How can you expect people to take your commet seriously when you obviously put half a thought into it (you didn't bother with PS4 features). So for the sake of being fair I'll list them for you...

PS4 features:
- Better multiplats
- More games (first ...

It's hard to provide proof when Microsoft does not reveal their total sales figures. Sony announced they have sold through, to consumers, over 30 million consoles. How about you prove, with official numbers, that Microsoft has sold at least 15 million consoles to consumers (which would debunk his over 2:1 claim)... Or STFU yourself.

EDIT: and I'm referring to sold through figures, not shipped.

He clearly said innovation TO THE FRANCHISE, not that the dialog system is innovative in and of itself. There is a difference between the two. It baffles me that half your statement completely misinterprets his comment, while the other half acknowledges it. "Adding new experiences to the franchise" as you put it, was exactly the point he was trying to make. Innovative = introcuding a new idea. Adding new experiences is the same as innovation to the ...

The only games that seem to appeal to the WiiU fan base are Nintendo games. Works out well for them since those are the only games they seem to get to play on the WiiU anyway.

But the 2015 line up did include a third party game as well, Rise of the Tomb Raider (amazing game BTW, and my personal runner up for GOTY after Bloodborne). I get what you are trying to say, but nonetheless 2007 (the year mrbojingles was referencing) destroys the 2015 line up, even if just counting exclusives. There was Halo 3, Forza 2, PGR 4, Lost Odyssey, Eternal Sonata, BioShock, Mass Effect, and Crackdown. All exclusive to 360 at the time (there was no...

Both 2015 and 2016 are great years for Xbox (actually Xbox gamers). But neither are the best in their history in my opinion. That is reserved for 2007 when Halo 3, Forza 2, Lost Oddysey, Eternal Sonata, Mass Effect, and BioShock were exclsuives on the Xbox 360.

Looks like some people spoke too soon trying to claim/insinuate the Xbox One "won" Black Friday, only to be proven incorrect (as per the article update), yet again. I think these articles do it on purpose; give a little hope, let them grasp to it and run with it, then watch as the rug gets pulled from under them.

Perhaps it's best to let the dust settle before jumping to conclusions over and over.

What do you consider massive? Is a 50% increase massive? Let me guess, you don't think so, right? Because if you do, then your argument began on a fallacy. Because there have been numerous times that there have been 50% more pixels on PS4 games than the Xbox One variant (1080 vs 900 vs 720), by experienced developers. You focus on one game than runs identical on both platforms (Fallout 4) and use it to try and prove a point that many other games disprove (Black Op...

Better controller, UI, and online are subjective, better performance is not.

You say don't fall for marketing hype but then you use terms like "paid online subscribers" and "hours played" as means to justify gamer preference. That's quite ironic, since that's exactly what those terms are, marketing hype.

You want to know what gamers, in general, prefer? The console they buy more and the versions of...

Actually the choice is simple either way. If you have both consoles, you do not chose the one with significantly less performance (as Septic was pointing out). If you only have one console, you do not chose the version for the console you do not own. Simple.

I commend your conviction for speaking with your wallet. I definitely agree, if you disagree with a developers/publishers practices its best to speak with your wallet and not reward them. However, Quantum Dreams isn't known to withhold content for DLC, or charge for multiplayer, or any of the things mentioned in your rant; so why punish them? There is no need to have a blanket attitude towards every developer, just because you are upset with the practices of...

Power didn't matter then because:

- PlayStation already had a loyal fan base from PS1 era.
- It released a year and a half before the the competition (other than Dreamcast), meaning it had a huge install base already.
- GameCube didn't use DVDs, which was a nice perk of consoles at the time.
- GameCube was the decline of 3rd party support, probably due to small install base.

So you are saying if HALF the game is awful, you don't understand how a 5.5 is fair? Now I'm not saying or agreeing Halo 5 is awful, just responding to your comment.

So only those with positive opinions are valid? The validity of his opinion is in the fact that many others share it. There are many people who have expressed their belief that Halo 5 does not live up to the standard set by previous Halo games (cannon).

Value is in the eye of the beholder. Just because something is inexpensive doesn't mean it's valuable, and just because something is expensive doesn't mean is has no value. For example:

Ea Access is $30/year with access to 14 EA games, which equates to about $2.14 per game. With added benefits of early access and discounts on EA games.

PSNow is $180/year ($45 three month sub multiplied by 4) with access to about 250+ ga...

Just like you selectively remember things?

First of all Sony didn't tell consumers to get a second job. Ken Kuturagi said that they intend to make the PS3 so desirable that people would want to get a second job to get it. As in, you would do whatever it took (within reason of course) to get one. This isn't an uncommon practice as people get second jobs for all sorts of luxuries they want such as homes, cars, wedding rings, etc. For...

And whats the excuse when comparing the numbers to Halo 3? When the console was just as expensive, and the install base was smaller. Yet Halo 3 had much higher sales.

Halo 5 sold well and also scored well on metacritic at 85, but relative to other Halo games, that's a different story. Slice it, dice it, spin it anyway you want; it still doesn't change the fact that Halo 5 is selling less and rated less than other Halo titles.

Wow, I'm seeing people ok with Kinect being just a remote. It's ok that it's just used to skype and do voice commands. People spent the $150 mark up for Kinect, and people are ok with it. Talk about trying to justify a purchase. A less expensive camera could do skype and voice commands properly if that's all it's to be used for. No need for a $150 peripheral with advanced cameras and tech, if it's only going to be used for basic functionality.

Seems li...

And it's not gamers fault Bethesda is unable to optimize within the parameters of the consoles they make games for. Developers should be aware of the limits of "power" of the platforms they work on, no different than they have to be aware of the budget they are given. Of course developers will always want access to more power, time, and money to make the best game possible; but that's not how it works.

Gears also has 4 games released where Uncharted has 3 (not counting remasters). The fact that Uncharted sales are so close to Gears with one less game is quite a feat.
