Actually, remasters make up a very small percentage of games released this gen (even early this gen), this has been proven time and again. So the whole "remasters" thing is just false. And while you were playing Bayonetta 2, Xenoblade Chronicles X, and Splatoon... PS4/XB1 gamers were playing their own exclusives and a plethora of multi platform games that never made it to the WiiU.

Now let me bring you to the present where... while Switch gamers are playing BoTW a...

It would be nice if they ran a separate test with a persistent WiFi connection for those that play online (not just WiFi being on, but actually being used). Being connected to WiFi is another antenna being active which draws battery, like Bluetooth.

Also, playing at 30% brightness is fine indoors, but what about outside?

@ shloob

The last 3 years of the Xbox 360s life had an extreme drought of exclusives because they delayed the games to make them launch titles for the Xbox One.

Other than the usual Microsoft IPs (Halo Forward Gears) there has been a drought of exclusives for most of the Xbox Ones life, with no sign of them releasing a stable of new exclusives in the near future.

Microsoft cancelled games that were announced as big games for the Xbox On...

Sony made hardware revisions (before the release of the slim model) to reduce the cost. This made sense because the PS3 was packed with hardware that actually contributed to the cost of the console.

Microsoft was in a different position however. They could not remove any hardware from the 360 because it was extremely barebones. One might say it was overpriced (especially relative to the what the competition gave you). It was only $100 cheaper yet didn't have a blu ray ...

Perhaps the disagrees are because... they disagree with you. As in, they themselves find anime characters attractive. Just a thought.

But if a game is released on Xbox One that doesn't sell well enough to recoup the cost of making the Xbox One version, then the publisher loses money. If the publisher loses money then that can effect future releases for other platforms (perhaps they don't have enough to fund as many games, or are less willing to take risks with games). So I can understand why people don't want certain types of games to get released on platforms that, historically, certain genres don't sell we...

I agree with you for the most part, but you have to consider there may be people with limited funds not able to get both consoles. These people may be very interested in the other platforms games but are unable to play them.

@ no doze

If you are talking about the museum in the beginning of the game, then you should definitely try to play a bit further, you may be pleasantly surprised by the game.

Your comment doesnt make sense. First you say absolutely only positives, then follow that up with huge negatives; being hardware limitations and high price point for weaker hardware. Those negatives arguable outweigh every positive you can think of.

You are entitled to your opinions, and I won't counter what you feel the price of a game should have been. But, the developers of the Order made it very clear about its cinematic approach well before launch. If you had different expectations, well, that's on you. I would have loved for the Order to be a longer game, because I thoroughly enjoyed it. But it has a good story with good pacing (no fillers to drag out play time), the game play mechanics are solid. Being short doesn't ma...

Ummm, State of Decay and Crackdown are developed by third party developers. So that leaves Forza and Halo (go figure), and Sea of Thieves (new IP).

And whose fault is it that Japanese developers don't make games for Xbox One? There was a time when Xbox got a lot of Japanese games in the past, they didn't sell well, so they stopped.

Higher rated than anything on Xbox One as well, especially Halo 5.

On topic: Those are good numbers for the Switch, its going to be interesting to see if it keeps the momentum.

He said launch. These issues are happening days after release, not months. Although the RRoD is probably the worse issue to plague a device in recent memory, it wasn't really a launch issue.

Dedication to a piece of plastic? Is the concept of limited funds lost upon you? Just because you have the disposable income to own every system doesn't mean others do. And just because people have or chose one platform doesn't mean it's because of dedication to a piece of plastic. There are also people that do have disposable income, but don't see a point in just frivolously spending money on something that's of little value to them.

Its actually not that simple because it's such an ambiguous statement. How big of an audience is enough? What types of games do they plan to support the Switch with? Serious question, do you think the Switch will be able to run new AAA games that will be releasing in 2019? Or will it get watered down versions.

It's easy for a company to renege on such an unclear claim. It's quite literally as simple as "15 million consoles just isn't enough for a return...

@ monkey man

Personally, I feel a company should, in some capacity, earn my money. As a consumer I don't want to have to earn their business. If third parties are waiting for sales to jump on board, then the onus is on Nintendo to entice consumers to buy their product. After the Wii and WiiU, you can't expect gamers to just buy the Switch based on the potential of getting third party support. Especially considering there is no way for us to know what the install bas...

On topic, he is right. Power is secondary to games. Even the most powerful vehicle needs fuel/power to run.

I don't recall any consoles having so many different issues only 5 days on the market. You have the hardware issues like screens failing, joycon issues, carts not being recognized, clusters of dead/bleeding pixels. Then you have software issues like games freezing, games glitching, UI freezing. Then poor hardware designs like charging port on bottom preventing charging while on table mode, no way to prevent safety straps from being out on improperly, poor mou...

In other words, you have the lock the content to the new console, correct? Making it the only console that can play the content at any given time.
