If someone really takes the effort, they can create levels as good, if not better, than what Valve has created.
Of course, worse case scenario is the PC version ends up being the same as the console, except cheaper, higher resolution, and faster patching.
Valve with patch this behavior within a week I predict. On PC at least, it will take a month for patch to go through MS QA.

I've seen people less offended when their mother is "badmouthed." That console sure holds a special place in your heart.

The games cost less.
It has the best online/offline services.
It boasts the most software features.
It is customizable to your own experience.
What will we do without the "money first, hype second, and if we have time we might consider trying for quality or fun" games?
Some developers attempt to satisfy their customers.
"Lets pick a random host with a sh***y upload speed and make him host. Soon everyone will realize that these silly OC3's and mods are just a fad."
Instead of having a "install screen", if you just put a spinning coin down in the bottom of the screen for 2 minutes the most everyone will think that there was no install.
Also, by making cut scenes non-skipable, you can fool everything into thinking there are no loading sequences as well.
I think Uncharted had great presentation, but I get tired of everyone touting it as a no install, no loading, game.
Why use cheap, replaceable HDD space when the disk drive can do the work?
Guess the drive's replaceable as well though, just takes a hundred bucks, a call to Sony, and a few weeks.
So what service or industry does google have such control over that other people can't participate in? They may be the best, but others can still participate in the internet, search engines, email, data services. Until google controls these industries, they are not a monopoly by definition.
