Care to list those industries?

@1.39. You might be right, there could be a reason to sue for anyone who previously used their PS3 as a Linux machine. This lawsuit would be against the entity which removed the ability, namely Sony. Not some random hacker.

Anyways, the Linux philosophy is completely at odds with what consoles try to achieve so it this was bound to happen. There will be more indie games, and there will be more Modern Warfare games. BTW, the last i...

Call up your credit card provider, truthfully explain the details to them. They may indicate that you can legally file a charge back and have the money credited back to your account, despite what Walmart has to say about the issue.

Take your game back:
"Sorry, we don't accept returns on opened games."
"I already got my money back through a Visa charge-back, but here's your game back."

I believe Walmart might fight it and thus reverse ...

I remember getting excited about this game well before the PS3 came out. Long development time for a XBLA title.

Some people like SC2 and they play it.

Other think SC2 isn't as great as the almighty FA, and they play anything but FA, even though FA is still available for play.

Seriously, it's rather hard to get a good FA game going.

IMO SC2 does have a smaller scale but it's still Supreme Commanders. A proper 1v1 in FA lasted about 15 minutes or less, and that's still the case in SC2. There were dozens of units in FA, but only 4 or 5 useful ones; there's 4 or 5 u...

Considering there have been 2 articles in the past 2 years (this article being one of the two) which even mention the game "Hydrophobia" I'm guessing the "possible duplicates" filter picked up on this fact, but the poster chose to ignore it and post a second time anyways; and then it gets approved.

This was one of the first games I was interested in this generation. I thought it had been canceled due to lack of news, but I'm very happy to see this.

It will probably be another game like Red Faction: Guerrilla where the game is basically a showcase for an awesome new technology. RF:G has the best destruction dynamics, and Hydrophobia will have the best water dynamics.

Still, I expect it to receive some criticism for sacrificing graphics for innovation. I guess...

So someone made a solitary and stupid post about it on a forum he visits I guess.

All Ubisoft games are too popular for the good of the industry.

We'd do well to, all of us, never buy a DRM equiped Ubisoft game again.

It can be argued, though not all agree, that Steam actually adds value to a game through easy install, community features, no need to keep disks lying around, etc. There is no arguing that Steam does provide some positive features; though some may say these features are outweighed by the negatives, and thats their opinion.

Ubisoft DRM is nothing but negatives. They do NOTHING for their customer and everything for themselves.

Ubisoft games are dead to me. Like they...

Will this game offer replays like GPG net does? I love watching the skilled players face off in 1v1's.

They'd rather sell 60$ console versions. But why not release on PC when it was developed and testing on PC?

Ubisoft is dead to me. Guess I'm stuck with indie games like AI War: Fleet Command. No DRM and no trouble --

Well, actually I did have trouble once with [the indie game] AI Wars, so I posted on the tech forums and within 5 minutes the lead developer and company owner had responded giving me a solution. The solution worked. Guess this is the kind of service...

The hacker will just say "hey, I was able to do that before the patent was filed" and thus the patent will be thrown out.

Or perhaps the patent instead will be rightfully transferred to the hacker? :) One can only hope.
