I own a PS3, but no XBox.
Even so, I have to say this is preaty cool. This is rightfully filed under industry news, because it's the first time a video game has achived such fame. Like Halo or not, it will go far to help bridge the gap between the "normal" crowd who are prejudice against gaming, and the gamers themselves.
You mean if you ignore me you physically can't see or interact with my character?
As for bans, obviously Sonys not going to have tons of people watching over things, and unless everyone is allowed to ban everyone else (that would probably work preaty well), you wouldn't likely get caught.
Besides, I was mostly joking anyways.
I'll be out of bubbles too if it keep double posting on me.
I must be the only bot that owns a PS3 but does NOT own a 360.
I would ask for an appology, but you don't have any more bubbles.
I sometimes just chat with some of my PSN friends, and don't actually play games. Mine as well be doing it in his virtual appartment playing pool at the same time I guess. It will be cool.
We thought about forming a "Home mafia" of sorts. There's obviously no violence in Home, but what we decided we could do is gater a large group of people and then go swarm people. LOL, you'll just be walking along and suddenly 20 people surround you and you can't get out of the ...
That didn't look like anything to special?
Just give us our 2.0 update that includes in game media bar access, and include a text chat option as well as a voice chat option in the media bar. Who needs home?
Another major selling point is that the game is compatible with computer built mods, but we can't interface with the computer players, so how will we get the mods?
Quite possibly, while PC players are modding and sharing all for free, us PS3 users will have a limited selection in the PSN store from which we can BUY mods and new content.
This game just got put on my delayed purchas list, just so I can see how it all works out. If they do end up charging any money...
"PS3s can kill 360s
1UP editor John Davidson reports leaving his two children playing with the rival consoles encased in the same entertainment centre – separately the heat they give off's impressive, but together they created furnace-like atmosphere in which only Sony's shiny wonderbeast survived."
LOL! My fav.
Folding@Home, saves people, kills 360's. :D
I never could find it, and gave up once I'd been redirected to about 3 other sites.
We've all seen his picture now, this should be too suprising to anyone.
I'll just grit my teeth and pretend I love it, just like every other fanboy.
I don't know, but it's possible. Warhawk looks to the CD, gets the OK to run, then never touches the CD again until it's time to start the game the next time.
This has far more to do with Intel then Sony. Intel is mearly showing their hardware design, which happens to be manifest in the PS3.
It's true about the Core 2, but I would presume it was a 3 ghz or higher. Completely a guess though.
As for OS, with thing such as this OS probably doesn't matter a whole lot, as they'd probably by pass the OS for the most part and access the hardware directly. Hell, most games do this to some degree anyways, if your game freezes, you have to restart the whole computer, because the game is running parallel with the OS.
The worse that happens is that the story floats around for a day then is gone. A reader may open their tin at the store and find it scratched, and they've thus been saved some heartach by having read this.
Either was it's not the end of the world.
I would consider a 400 dolar version especially if it had Wi-Fi. I'll just pop my own HDD in if I want a larger HDD. Also, the software based PS2 emulation will equal if not outperform the EE, and as has been discussed, the EE may be disabled one day.
One the other hand, I doubt the difference between $600 and $400 is more than just 40 gigs. Wonder how much that EE costs?
I called the number and they will release at midnight. "Come early so we have time to process your trade-ins." LOL, who needs other games when you have Halo 3?
Damn, I don't plan to make a habit of submitting news, but I would like to get my 3 approved so I can give the thumbs up to others.
Guess I'll try some more, but it's so hard to beat people to the post.
I just wanted to agree with myself. That and it was a double post.
...
They tell us the game is done NOW. Move the release back a week, but say that the extra wait will be worth it. What will they be doing during that week? Nothing, because the game is done NOW. Hmmm.
Anyways, it will be a great game when it comes out, I'll pick it up for sure.
Ohh, and the home page cut it off at "October 3". Man I was excited for a minute. Curse you zero!
