Especially because this is a hack. If were going to hold companies responsible for what hackers have done we probably wont be seeing any new software for awhile.
Nah, probably not, because it was optional for such a long time.
It would be an idea to make FW updates optional for a week or 2 to slow server congestion when the update first hits. Then again it isn't that big of a problem anyways.
I'd really rather use a cheap replaceable HDD than the BD drive. Especially considering Sony's history with drive failures, which plagued the PS2 and are not unheard of in the PS3.
Am I the only one who sees next to no difference between these genres?
TPS = Stare at your characters rear, shoot people when you see them.
FPS = Stare at your gun (not so much), shoot people when you see them.
According to MariusElijah the game is mediocre now, and not worth getting. If they moved the render camera back 3 feet, and nothing else, it would be the game of his dreams?
40 or 60 USD?
In the client-server model when there are "disputes", the server is the final authority.
Server: "You were shot, your dead."
Client: "Nope."
Server boots client for being out of sync.
In P2P there is no authority (unless some random player is elected as such, or there is a psudo-server).
Client 1: "I shot you, your dead."
Client 2: "No I'm not."
Client 1: "Yes you are." ...
One of the main reasons I'm excited for Duke Nukem.
I hope it's not an RPG with guns, rather a FPS with a persistent world, and the need for large scale strategy and tactics.
I'm not too interested in a grindfest FPS where NPC's are everywhere and PvP is optional.
How much per month?
And a few console games are bound to pay a couple hundred to have a 15$ DVD drive replaced. :)
They state differences and then claim these solitary facts make the platform "better." To claim something is "better" should require a little more consideration.
A free game engine. I've been thinking about some games I'd like to create.
for Starcraft 2.
If your going to play a dumbed down RTS, mine as well play the best dumbed down RTS.
If this continues we'll have MW3 as a console exclusive.
All PC will have is reasonably priced indi games, and some new COD4 mods that outperform MW3.
Your probably right though. PC has no place in the "here's a bunch of games you can pay 60$ for" conference.
It's been proven it's a irrational number; thus it is known that it will never repeat.
I don't know the theory behind it however.
I counted through the first 1.1 million digits of pi (well, my computer did) and came up with the fallowing:
99959 0's
99758 1's
100026 2's
100229 3's
100230 4's
100359 5's
99548 6's
99800 7's
99985 8's
100106 9's
So there's a 90.004% chance he's correct; which, as you said, is greater than 90%.
Count them yourself if you want: http://pi.is.onl...
There's a 90% chance your correct.
But if it's a 0, then you lose. :)
I've done the math in my head, and the 3 trillionth digit is 2.
In most games as soon as I start to feel fear or tension about the situation, I just rush through the level until I die. Then I get sent back 20 seconds and know what to watch out for when I really try.
With all those brain controlled flying cars and computerized t-shirts.
Too bad that hardware in your t-shirt can't be used to play games, for that you have to connect to the cloud and use a super computer hundreds of miles away.
The net will be a truly amazing place then. We'll have the usual share of relevant and useful information, but 99.999% of the bandwidth will go to transferring images which will be looked at by one person, for 1/60th of a second.
