@Death - If power was the only difference and all else was equal you'd have a point. PS3 was much harder to develop for and it took longer to see the difference in power, but it did eventually manifest itself. 360 was less powerful, no one denies that, but it was also much easier to develop for. PS4 is both more powerful and at least as easy to develop for as XB1.
"Mad Max was 1080 on both, so I'm a little surprised."
Some devs will go for parity, some will try to use each console's hardware the best they can.
"Games should be huge these days, but game developers choose to leave things out so they can sell it bit by bit."
Games are huge these days. Compare the install sizes from last generation to the current ones. It takes more time and resources to make basically the same games with the same gameplay, but with higher grade animations, textures, lighting, etc.
You're naive to think it's possible for developers to simply up the ante every generati...
"I also buy some of them when they hit complete / "goty" editions though"
Not a bad way to go, if you can stand to wait. I'm going to do that with Fallout 4, I think. We'll see if I'm able to hold out. lol
Nice reference. Oddly enough, I was thinking about that movie just last night.
Don't try to shoehorn characters into the story if it doesn't make sense, I say. I'd rather have a good story with very few characters than a story made silly because they had to contrive ways for many characters to take part.
"announcing dlc already before a game is even out makes me want to avoid these games."
You must avoid a lot of really good games, because announcing DLC before release has become pretty common over the years.
I'd much rather have Clone Wars DLC than prequel trilogy DLC. I wish the prequel trilogy had never been made, for the most part.
"I'd like to see ore complex maps, the one on Hoth is kinda lame and two dimensional."
That's probably going to be standard for the Walker Assault maps, given the nature of the mode.
I wouldn't mind if the prequel trilogy got no attention at all. I'd like to forget it exists.
Problems with PS3's version of Skyrim were more likely caused by PS3's unusual architecture. The rest can be written off as timed exclusivity deals.
I'm not surprised by the file size difference. It's happened more than once this generation.
I'd guess $399 just for the headset, with maybe a game included that doesn't need the camera and move.
No game is for everyone. In fact, no game is even liked by the majority of gamers. You simply don't get it, though from your comment I'd say you don't know enough to have an honest opinion. If you kept up with the reveals you'd know it's more than what you say it is.
The reason behind the hype for this game seems incredibly obvious to me. Really hoping for PSVR compatibility, but either way it's a day one purchase for me.
Don't forget the rumored development woes of No Man's Sky. PS4 suddenly has a lot of imaginary problems, right before the holidays. What a coincidence.
Will the tactic of false concern ever disappear?
Wow. I can't believe that reasoning is still alive, given the facts.
OT - Nope. PS is a much stronger brand worldwide, PS4 has more games to play, and many of the purchases now being made are by people who are buying what their friends have.
Both of the games you mention are primarily purchased for their multiplayer. If the companies involved look at past titles and see that comparatively few people earn the trophies and achievements related to the campaign, then it's not surprising for them to decide making those campaigns isn't worth their time.
That's an odd example, since Destiny was always supposed to grow over time. Are all games with substantial DLC not "finished" when they release?
It's easy to claim content was cut, but usually pretty tough to back up that claim with facts. The same conspiracy theory has been used many times before.
I'll see how much I'm playing SWBF by the time the DLC starts releasing. If I'm still playing a lot, I'll buy the season pass based on the content Battlefield usually gets from it's season passes. Some season passes are well worth it. Driveclub's, for example.
You wish to drive fast more than to fly through space?
; ) I know what you mean, but the way you worded it sounded funny. I think you're simply a racing fan so you want those titles more. For me, NMS is a must have with or without VR, but with VR… whoa…
GT with VR will be amazing as well though, for sure. DC too, if it happens.
I don't think this game was really trying to live up to those other D&D games. The main point seems to be the Dungeon Master mode, but the set of tools given for that purpose don't seem powerful enough to make distinctive campaigns. I'm still tempted to buy it for the DM thing though.
