"so basically they gonna hope it just turns out to be good, like they did with Until Dawn."
Care to explain how you got that from this article? It's about advertising, not the quality of the product, and Sony is notorious for doing this very thing instead of massive advertising campaigns.
If you like it I suggest getting the season pass. It's only about 12.99 now and you'll get a lot of cars/events.
If you're easily annoyed, I suppose. Ico did the same thing when he was calling for Yorda. Never bothered me at all.
Leave 343 alone. He simply wants a console with less developer support.
It's strange, but the heart wants what it wants.
An abomination? Ohhh the drama!!!
When I preordered the game after the beta was over, the game store employee told me response to the beta was good and preorders spiked afterwards. You guys that didn't like it are a minority. Face it.
OT - No, they aren't.
Many people liked the beta. I preordered the game after the beta was over and was told by the game store employee that response to the beta was by far mostly positive.
@Jason - That's not bragging in any sense of the word. You exposed nothing except your desire to go on the attack over this subject.
"i will continue to view all dlc and season passes on a case by case situation."
That's what most gamers do, I'd wager. How many gamers do you think buy every single season pass/DLC/MT that comes along for the games they like to play? Not many, I'd say. Lumping it all together as some kind of anti-christ of gaming is ridiculous. Some of it is worth the money, some of it isn't. Each consumer gets to decide which is which.
People buyin...
Not even close to the worst company in America for those who live in the real world.
People are voting with their wallets. You just want them to vote differently.
@boodi - You're complaining about art direction, not graphic quality.
@Nix - Your memory regarding PS2 graphics is highly flawed.
"I'm a bit confused as to why you'd think that"
That's how I feel about your first comment. There's no reason why a game like this can't have a campaign and no multiplayer at all, or have multiplayer and no campaign at all, or have both.
Completely agree, especially about the online play aspect. I think there are more people enjoying the games we get than there are complaining about them, so the overall whining level would increase if they go away. Whining will happen either way though. It always does.
Ha if you think people whine about the free games, wait until there are no more free games.
Thank capitalism, you'll be closer to the mark. Thanking one person for a trend that's market based is silly.
"Buying crap like this increases the cost of gaming and signals the publishers that's it's ok to do so."
How does this increase the cost of gaming if you don't buy it? That's what you need to explain. Buying this signals the publishers that people are willing to pay for emotes and dance moves. Please tell me how that impacts the people who don't want to buy them.
"Did you buy this? Is that why you're defending it?" ...
On the list of reasons why aliens wouldn't visit earth, "buying an emote" wouldn't even make the top 500.
How is buying emotes "against gaming"? How does the lack of that emote impact the game at all?
Love to see the whining about how other people spend their own money, but not as much as I love to see the whiners pretend they're superior. Good stuff.
I suppose they could run ads that mostly show how people react to VR, using parts of this video and others, but you're right it needs to be experienced.
