"Keep wearing them nostalgia goggles"
Good old days syndrome can be a real fun killer.
It's still a Star Wars shooter with pretty much the same basic gameplay, simply minus one or two popular modes, so I don't see your point. It's not like they made a Star Wars themed "Civilization" style game and called it Battlefront.
"I feel for the content we have this should have been a $39.99 game."
Fact is it's a reboot, made by a different developer with a different engine after the original game was cancelled. It's not a sequel, but for some reason people like you didn't accept that reality and kept looking forward to Battlefront 3.
The franchise did evolve. You just don't like the direction they took it. Evolution doesn't mean that a franchise becomes more appealing to everyone, or you in particular.
This game was cancelled, then resurrected by a different developer using a different engine, and it's title isn't Battlefront 3, yet somehow people looked at Battlefront 2 and assumed the new game would be very close to that, just with better graphics and sound along with more content. I don't understand how people think sometimes, but I'm really enjoying this game. So many moments of jaw dropping and smile inducing Star Wars fun.
Lucky? What else would it have been called after paying for the license?
Very fun game imo.
More maps and more solo/co-op modes against bots. I'm loving the game though. Every time I put it down for awhile I start hearing the music in my head and I'm compelled to play more.
Wow these low scores really surprise me. The game is more than solid mechanically, and it looks/sounds incredible. In my book such a game gets no less than a 7, but that's my book. *shrug*
"Wait a month then message me what you would score this game."
lol Ridiculous man. By that logic there should be no reviews about this game yet and no opinions can possibly be valid unless they agree with you. Sounds reasonable… smh
The game is a solid shooter with above average graphics and sound that totally nail Star Wars. I'll be playing most of the modes for a long time, not just two. The only one I don't like is Droid Run. There is no ...
Lots of fun imo.
"there are a lot of stupid gamers out there"
If you think this score is accurate, you should consider the possibility that you're one of them.
No one actually believes this game deserves a 4.5/10, so why is the score "ouch" worthy?
Almost there...
If it doesn't sound appealing to you so be it, but it's definitely appealing to me, and very different from how we play games now. Surround sound alone improves immersion, and with a VR helmet on immersion will of course be enhanced even more. The idea of moving around the room seems like a cool one, but in reality you'd need a large empty space for it to work well, like Star Trek's Holodeck.
Several variations of bald with beard, so I'm covered.
:D
Quiet's exit was one of the best story moments, if not the best, but it doesn't ruin anything for me to bring her back now. Still a great game with a story that could have been much better.
As a fan of Terraria I'm very interested in Starbound, which I just found out about today!
Maybe because the very first comment, from a guy who is definitely not a PS4 fanboy, brought up TR and the fact that both release on the same day…?
Just a wild guess, NotSoChill...
"star war fanbiys will buy a battlefield game re skinned as star wars battlefront"
After playing Battlefield 3, 4, and Bad Company 1 & 2, I really don't understand saying Battlefront is a reskin of Battlefield. They don't feel much alike at all to me, except that the basic structure of Walker Assault was like Rush, but even then Battlefront's gameplay reminded me more of Call of Duty than Battlefield.
Everything else you said I prett...
The nature of the beast. This is one reason cloud gaming will eventually be the way the industry goes. I prefer physical copies all day, but I know it will happen.
