The article is a stupid mirror feature to get hits. Shame all the hits leave the site feeling like never returning!
I just really wish that Sony could at least provide some sort of communication with regard to the delay of this title. They are encouraging backlash articles and speculation and above all, it is an insult to an otherwise loyal fanbase.
Despite this game being most wanted on my part since it was announced, half of me is furious about the way I am ...
If I was Steve... I would buy Sony, force Polyphony to release GT5 now and sell it back to them.
Saving in endurance races sounds great!
I hope my nightmare does not come true.....
Fantastic atmosphere in the room. The duke humour was there too. I am wanting this too :)
Do you know how long it would take me and my car to get to Rome? 30 seconds is amazing! I can travel the world and the seven seas in merely the click of a finger. (evil, elongated laugh)
As someone who is into cars and driving with plenty of track time under my belt, I can tell you that nothing will stop me from enjoying this game. Yipee!
Neckbear, I recommend you save yourself $60 and simply don't buy it and cut down on the pointless time you seem to be 'investing' in talking about things you don't like. Speaking of which, I am off to mouth off Lava Lamps on Amazon cos they suck.
Did anyone else read "Lesbian Kissing and First" as "fist" for a split second?
Great article with loads of interesting bit of info. I was pleased to read the following in particular...
..."MLAA is now a part of the Edge tools available to all PS3 developers and it's effectively a drop-in component that can be added in an afternoon of coding - expect to see it in many more titles, not just those from Sony".
It is not that but the demo may be an old build but it does look pretty good to me despite the numbers. :)
The FPS numbers don't seem to tie up with what I see on the screen though. Without them, it appears steady and very playable.
What is odd though is that you would think that when the instruction pages appear and the game pauses, the demo would produce higher numbers and yet the numbers appear to stay low even during this pausing.

Most people just ran the benchmarks while dipping their computer in liquid Nitrogen(tm) to imagine what the game would look like in 4 years time without liquid Nitrogen(tm).
The only reason Crysis was so far ahead of the rest:- it had all the detail turned up to 400%. Big deal? We will see just how much so now they have some static platforms to perform on maybe (which is good)
If I released a Pixar quality render engine that took 24 hours to draw each frame...
and amazing....
It's like The Go! team and Guitar Vadar had a GT party with Matchbox cars.
Perfectly sums up the spirit of the game. CARS! yay!
I am not a fanboy. I just thought it sounded a funny thing to say :)
(oops)
Maybe because its a game about cars!
The game you want is Grantreerismo. You wait till you see the lifelike trees and shrubbery that has to offer.

I am pretty sure he was referring to GT5 when he said "this one is better"
You only need to look at PGR4 in action to see how good GT5 is!

Hopefully they have changed it to the first realistic damage simulation ever featured in a racing simulation. Crashes over a certain speed result in complete write-off of the car and wiping of savegame while high speed impacts prevent you playing for months while the driver recovers from a broken spine in hospital or in the worst case, the driver dies and you have to buy the game again. There. Real damage. (do I need the /s?)

There are rear end's in both videos :)
