I am just glad that the recent Crysis2 engine benchmark figures and their explanations have yet to make it to this site. World war 3 may still be avoided!!!!

For the same reason that all movies should not have transforming robots with guns in, I hope the digital medium continues to weave new experiences and interact in ways we have yet to imagine.

They took a huge financial risk in the name of pushing the boundaries.

Let us hope that today's typical gamer demographic is at least more sophisticated than a concrete breeze block some of the comments on these differing game types would suggest.

I thought the R2 to walk, left stick to look made for a nice analogue control combination without the character looking like he had a stiff neck like in so many games.

The walking fitted for me as it added to the realism of the scenes. A pal watching felt like the walking around parts were still just a cut-scene so it obviously works at keeping it all very movie like. It felt like I was almost 'conducting' the game if you know what I mean.

I found myself thinking o...

Dear brick wall,

This article really carries no more weight that any comment on this site. It is just an opinion by someone that plays games at work.

If he wants to compare Blade Runner and Indiana Jones point for point and look stupid doing it then there is plenty of space on the Internet.

For those who care enough about entertaining themselves with videogames rather than stupid childish wars then I would recommend playing (and enjoying) both games.

I am just glad the guy doing the video review didn't voice act in the game.

This is a demo of a feature of the game.

You can upload GPS data from your track day at one of the tracks featured in the game and race the ghost car of your lap to improve your driving skills.

That is what needed to be in caps.....

From GT Planet....

"Here’s some of the first news to come out of the Tokyo Auto Salon 2010: Polyphony Digital has partnered with auto technology company Denso to develop a “GPS-track day unit”, one of which wi...

The motion blur and bleached lighting look great together. I think in a couple more generations of games and graphics, it will all be down to art style and personal opinion rather than graphical prowess and there is evidence of this beginning with this gen in my opinion.

GT5 is quite happily the more photorealistic of the two games. It's all in the palette, the lighting and the models.

Forza has a higher density of background detail but spoils it with a 'computer game' looking palette again.

I love Forza (which really only exists because of Gran Turismo). The passion that Turn10 have toward cars is clearly evident in the product but I still cannot quench my thirst for GT5 with it.

Also, the speed is perfectly simulated. It i...

In another world, I would have loved Home to be a homage to videogame worlds. An opposite of the graphical giants and powerhouse software elsewhere on the console.

A dumbed down, chunky graphic, silly world of hierarchy and madness that is quick to load and easy to develop for,
making companies think about ways to be clever with ideas for their zones and their designs rather than polygons and corporate textures.

The better you do with trophies, the more you g...

They finally got rid of the Play, Create and Share scores that never worked too. Anyone buying the game must have gone mad trying to figure why that did not work.
