I never get why people say games like this, ratchet etc. are designed for children? Are blood and death a requirement of the sophisticated adult?
I fail to see how mindless shooters offer anything more in complexity or story. In fact, they offer far less imo.
Although I am not complaining, I think that it is very odd that the PS4 is cheaper than the Xbox.
Sony have engineered a more powerful product into a smaller space and managed to include the PSU within the product. Also, when comparing their predecessors, there was an obvious difference in build quality between the two that I think Sony deserved credit for.

It seems that most devs have got some sort of real time lighting going on with PS4 so far. This game looks the most impressive so far to me.
Even if one system was proven to be 80 times the performance of the other, people would still deny the truth and believe the hype from a marketing team saying how a screw makes it just as quick, if not quicker.

Thinking that PC's are the holy grail of gaming is part of growing up. Everyone is like this for a small part of their lives and then they grow out of it. As you can tll by the 'headline', some grow up quicker than others.
Don't get me wrong here cos as of this moment, I am only getting PS4 this gen but I was a bit disappointed with what I have seen so far of this game. They certainly have been talking it up but, from the videos released so far, it looks a tad lacking and it's only running at about 35fps according to the devs (they are aiming for 60 but it would be a little more comforting to know they could achieve this a little easier given what they are showing).

I have to say that if everything that has been reported about the xb1 is true then I will be more than happy to be in the minority this gen with a PS4. In fact, grinning from ear to ear!
Let us not forget that even though the XB1 is not as powerful as the PS4, it is still way more powerful than the 360 and Forza looked pretty good on that so I expect good things from it (although I must admit I never really liked the lighting or palette choices on Forza)

The whole point of these and any gaming sites getting games early and reviewing them is to let the consumer know if they are making a mistake or not buying a product. It is supposed to give them an informed insight into the experience and to, at the very least, give someone who is interested in the genre or premise the thumbs up or down.
This guy obviously either got owned by the game or was not at all interested in the experience and therefore was the wrong man for the job. ...
I must admit that although, so far, it seems to me that the Xbox One has received nothing but bad press and that anyone who has shown any interest in investing a bit of time to compare the two, would certainly favour Sony over MS.
