All we need is this game and a good football match and I am going for a drive.
This was a glowingly positive tech breakdown of this game. They seemed pretty bowled over to me. They have been a bit of a winge on the PS3 in the past due to a seemingly lack-luster understanding of the potential of offloading work onto the SPU's as being a force to be reckoned with coupled with the constant head to head articles resulting in poor PS3 ports. How the last few months have changed them though :)

Great review. Some really cool features in there. Loving the idea of making up some great multi player races.
A few disappointments in certain areas for me too though but I think that the areas that this game excels at will be tough for GT to beat (or even match) while other areas will be reversed in that regard when GT releases. I hope I will enjoy both as much as each other but either way, it sure is gonna be fun finding out!

Not buying this game.
You would think that the internet community had more strength with such things but I bet that this game is a major success and Commander Activision will continue to arrogantly dictate to the cowering addicts who willingly pick up the soap in his path.

It IS a joke. :) The art style is like an oldschool game only exaggerated with realistic photographic effects like DOF.
The animations are instant and mechanical in nature too. The game is trying to be exactly what it is and succeeds I think.
Maybe this appeals more to older gamers that can appreciate how funny things could have been today if graphics had gone this way.
The end result may only be a gimmick (we have yet to see) but it is certainly ...
