One-sided wars sound exciting!
Everyone is either reminiscing about the original arcade game and laser disk games in general (I remember playing it all those years ago and thinking WOW!)

The success in Europe can also be attributed to the fact that say, In the UK, for example, there is no HD terrestrial television and about 3 million HDTV sets sold.
Everyone wants something HD on their new HDTV and the PS3 seemed a bargain to alot of people...
The PS3 was the cheapest Bluray player by far at launch (the equiv of $400 cheaper than Samsungs player), the console was considered "free" by many.

The interactive scene parts look really (really) good but I was a bit shocked on the trailer at the action bits with the shooting. A bit like jumping a generation.
Hopefully it will all be polished like a shiny thing by the time its all finished.

I suppose any game that has been released to capacity on a DVD9, you could argue that just doubling the content would of course require the extra storage but that would make most developers faint!
For now it seems a way off - mind you, the stretch from CD to DVD was munched pretty quick so who knows.
I would have thought that using the extra space for the equivelent of "DVD Extras" would be a good idea for now and for example Motorstorm does this to ...

Its a really good game, huge content, very good physics and (in my opinion) okay car models... but I don't understand how it annoys 'Sony fanboys' and ruins their summer??

I think turn based is still valid and still fun. It has always been about numbers, stats and char building.
FFXII was an interesting diversion and proved to be just as fun (for me)as you become involved in the A.I as the strategy.
Realtime can add to the experience if you yearn for that kind of interaction but more than a few people like to play strategies and think about battles without having to be a whiz on the controller.

It strips HDCP from HDMI and allows output to VGA/DVI. The PS3 (for example) has no VGA output and a simple converter would kick in the HDCP protection so this device is your ticket if the above causes you grief.
Its a shame both sides(!) have sad fanboys.
What's not a shame is that Forza 2 has everything it needs to be months of enjoyment and must be mine soon.

Exclusives have always been important and always will be. Imagine if all the DS games were basic dumbed down 360 games with 2d graphics for example!
This petition seems pretty desperate for sure but any console early on its life cycle needs all the help it can get. Sony should be making noise come E3!

I am into cars and into driving. I like track days and extracting the best from a car on a track.
I don't care much for damage. If I drive on a track, damage is the last thing I want so I don't drive like a twat. I increase my speed and my lap times drop.
If a game has damage its all very well, but if my mistake effects my cars handling during a second or third lap, I will rather quit out and retry from the start as a lesson to be learned then continue with ...

Well said. This "Mine's better than yours" has been going on since 8bit so I doubt it will go away.
Exclusives (that remain so) will always be impossible on the other machine cos they aint gonna make it for the other machine. If the game is that good and you want to play it then buy the other machine - simple.
