At last a very good comparison video. It show the strengths and weaknesses of both but the number of 'that looks real' moments with GT is obvious to any car fans with a taste for reality and without console bias.
Forza spends it's detail in equal measures to scenery and cars but GT spends it all on the cars and rely's on clever palette subtleties and textures to create a nice illusion on the backdrops.
love my 360 and love Forza but this guy can draw all the red lines in paint he wants but GT5 car models simply look more photo realistic.
Many of the points he makes are true but car-wise (saturated or de-saturated), The F3 demo is not as good as even GTHD and I will live with it.
Still buying Forza 3 on release day cos it is a great simulation game and handles really well.
For what ever it is worth, I had tearing on both, both looked pretty washed out compared to other games but both had a great immersive feeling and a sense of scale and power. I am looking forward to the game.

I feel sorry for the poeple who get payed to play some of these great games and don't enjoy them. I pay them to play and enjoyed them. I guess that it simply sucks to be them :)
Either way, if you have a history of disagreements with one site and their opinions then I would recommend not paying attention to their views and looking elsewhere to be sure of your purchase.
If it turned out that Edge really were biased then I pity them for enjoying the smell of their own fa...

Nothing will change the article writers views but I only can judge for myself and the track has way more detail in F3 than GT5P (although the palette is somewhat over saturated).
The Cars - no comparison. GT5 models and lighting create a photo-realism that I wish F3 had ( really, I do!) but all the customization will create a varied grid so maybe that will help:)
The tire simulation on F2 was good and I am looking forward to getting stuck into the third game.
