1440p with RT and 60fps would definitely be the sweet spot for me with this game. Especially when upscaling tech is so good.
Edit: I can’t believe I am even saying this as I would have always chose native 4K 30fps until I finally came out of the dark ages this year and was able to experience 60fps more consistently. I never realized how much of a difference maker 60fps is until I began to experience it more regularly this gen. My eyes don’t really perceive a difference with...
@JackBNimble I get the update to Gddr6 which is more efficient, but the SS has 10gb versus the 1X 12gb of Gddr5 so doesn’t it pretty much become a wash. On a side note I see the 10gb of ram in the SS versus the 16 Gb in the Series X being a real issue for next gen games down the road.
I fully agree that the CPU and the SSD in the SS are a significant upgrade over the 1X which is why the Series S can get away with a lower clocked GPU since the 4TF can be utilized more effici...
Purchased this game used for $9.99 a couple of weeks ago without knowing there would be an update. I am thrilled to see this is free!
The real Ted Cruz would be 🙁
How can one assert this when these zombies are paying the ultimate price for their racist action?
I am not sure why this system shipped at all.
People give words far too much power over them.
I am curious to see if it will be running at 60fps with RT already. Bethesda was able to provide 60fps and RT with Doom and with Hellblade likewise being a last gen game I suspect it is possible. The Xbox One X Enhanced version runs at 4K and 60fps on the Series X already via BC because the game had both a performance and fidelity mode and was not locked at 30fps. In other words, if you play on fidelity mode the performance upgrades to 60fps naturally on the Series X even before the patch. I ...
This^. Especially with features like quick resume where my T.V. is consistently switching between HDR and SDR.
I didn’t realize that people were complaining about this, but I suppose that comes with the territory of serving a large consumer base. As an early adopter of the PS4 back in the day I understood the reason behind the need for light bar dimming fairly quickly because it was pretty bright and more importantly it shortened the battery life fairly significantly.
However, with my Xbox any light coming console and/or controllers is already minimal. I suppose if you are constantl...
Agree that the controller is awesome and if I collected controllers this would be a must have. Especially if you are a Halo fan as this may be the best looking control I have seen based on an IP. However, $149.99 is a little steep for me personally.
The number of comments on this article are indicative of the level interest in this game. This should have never been a live service multiplayer grindfest/looter. An IP with tremendous potential, but terrible execution.
Same. I remember playing a 32 bit console for the first time as a kid in Toys R Us and distinctly remember how odd it was to me for a game to need to load.
This is very true Lordofthecritics and I need to work on this myself. Since upgrading to a PS5 and Series X I have noticed that my bladder feels as though it is about to burst much more often than it did when I played on last gen consoles. I could darn near do the laundry when I fast travelled in Witcher 3 on the PS4 Pro, but with current gen consoles I am likely to end up with a bladder infection if I do not practice more self control.
Loading in Flight Simulator has more to do with the game reading real time weather patterns and traffic control utilizing your personal online connection speeds than it has to do with the SSD.
Secondly games that are not fully optimized for the PS5/Series X do not take full advantage of the SSD architecture which translates to lower speeds. For example, if I play the PS4 version FF7 Remake on my PS5, I am subject to loading screens. They are much shorter then they were on P...
Sounds more to me like the writer is experiencing franchise fatigue as opposed to just reviewing the game in isolation. If this is the first time your experience R&C then you are going to absolutely love the game. If you have played the many iterations of R&C I can see how you may not appreciate it as much because they are a bit derivative. I for one really enjoyed the game.
Yep. I have it on GamePass also but picked it up physical from GameStop a couple of weeks ago for $9.99. It should be noted that this was a pre-owned version though.
Great list Deathdeliverer! The only place we differ is that I would put Halo 3 MP over Halo 2 MP, but gaming preferences are subjective and there are really no right or wrong answers. We match exactly on everything else. And yes, these list are made all the time, but they still get me to click on them. Lol!
Have it for both Dreamcast and Xbox myself. Great game!
Are you using “free” in an attempt to lay out some bait there badboyz? You have to know the obligatory “it’s not free comment is coming.”
