@FriedGoat
You have to consider that children are part of their market. If I were them I'd be cautious as well.
Tasteless pedo remarks aside...
Right, like having a wide scope view of the entire room is any more frightening.
How is he 0%? I think he asked a lot of well-needed questions when on the Bonus Round after E3. He's a better thinker than predictor, I'd say. I fail to see why this generates such a negative response from the gamers on the internet.
I think he's talking about bringing in core and casual gamers as did the Wii. Back in the day the Wii was such a simple idea and brought in a whole plethora of new and old gamers. Not everyone liked it, but it was hype enough to get a ton of people to jump in.
I think he's saying that Wii U is attempting to do something more game-centric, more to speed with what a gamer would want in a multimedia device as oppose to just gaming and therefor makes it more complex and t...
I happen to like Pachter myself (still can't get why so many people on the internet seem to hate him), but I think the man is a little off-base when it comes to the Wii U. I think the system will be just fine in the long run.
Well sure, mostly just ports of other previously released games thus far. But nothing that will have launched with or after the console. I reckon if it is announced for Wii U, Nintendo will want to make a big deal out of it.
Think about it; not a single game has been announced for Wii U. I think Nintendo wants to announce all of the title for Wii U before Capcom starts announcing them.
I'm confident this will appear on Wii U and I'll be damned if I don't pick one up for mine.
Yes, like Master Chief's puke-green suit was any less outrageous by design when we all first saw it. Sometimes something weird looking is precisely how you catch someone's eye and interest.
Resident Evil is one of the last in-house developed Capcom games (Operation Raccoon City is an exception). It's also one of their largest, if not THE largest franchise in their arsenal. No way are they putting it to bed.
I have a feeling that RE6 wants to achieve a medium between horror and action. A blend of what RE4/5 had and the earlier games.
As long as I can still play over the shoulder and aim the gun's position, I'll be A-OK with whatever they make.
Also, if you want a horror game, why not try out RE: Revelations? That's specifically designed as a horror RE game.
Nintendo never sells at a loss. Not unless they absolutely need to.
Keep in mind the 3DS had more than just its price tag as a hindrance. Wii U will most certainly not suffer from a bad launch line up this time. They're banking heavily on third party support.
This does mean older games at launch, yes. But then who wouldn't want Batman Arkham City on their console of choice?
Brought in a lot of new gamers though. And new ways to play.
Odd that you have so many disagrees. Your comment is pretty much what Sakurai says in the interview.
Because we allow it?
Part of it is that Microsoft doesn't want widespread panic like there was for the PSN attack.
Incidentally from all of the stories I've heard, this attack has become much worse than the PSN attack but with far less news coverage or public scrutiny of the service company.
Confirmation link please.
Why put Mortal Kombat on the SNES? Why put Conker's Bad Fur Day on the N64? Why put Resident Evil 4 on the GCN?
@KMCROC54
You say that as if that's a bad thing.
And don't say "Mario, Metroid, Zelda" as if each game is the same as the last. Go back and play Mario 64 then go and play Mario Galaxy and you tell me just how similar they are.
The only major franchise bomb that Nintendo suffered recently was Metroid Other M, and ironically that's the only Metroid to attempt to do things differently.
Why would Sony bother announcing the PS4 so soon? That would derail attention from the Vita.
