So then let's do some math. Nintendo's loss is about half a billion. Sony's is six billion. Nintendo's loss is pretty much a fraction regardless. Am I really expected to believe that you can marginalize Sony's profits based on the fact that they make more than just game hardware? I reckon that would mean that their sloppy business practices extend into their other divisions.
Also, Nintendo's never sold at a loss and has made profits on all of their con...
Actually, what I'd like to see is all of the E3 demos (sans the Zelda one since it's impossible) to be bundled with or better yet built into the system.
Particularly, I really want to play Chase Mii. The game is very much structured like Pac-man Vs. and that game is some of the most fun I've ever had playing a video game.
Actually I read a report recently that the 3DS will become cheap enough to manufacture to sell at a profit again by the beginning of Fall this year. Given its current units/sale rate, that's not so bad in the long run.

*sigh* Oh ye of little knowledge
The N64 and the Gamecube were respectively more powerful than the Playstation and Playstation 2.
They've sold games for as low as a dollar on the eShop. What's wrong with their store pricing structure?
Nah, I don't think they very much care about that. Smash Bros. is pretty huge and stands out from other competitive fighting games because of just how ridiculous and unique it is. Besides, said Sony game hasn't even been formally announced. I doubt Nintendo (let alone Sakurai) would give it that much attention.
Joy of joys, another Nintendo related article that would seem positive for the company's future online plan and it gets no attention. Typical.
I don't think Nintendo would price them the same. Hell, Sony doesn't.
@Dlacy13g
Yeah, but in previous years Japan wasn't exactly dealing with a wonky up-and-down economy while their primary currency was weakening, now were they?
@badz149
Actually, no. I replied the way I did because people constantly bitch and moan about "remakes and sequels" but whenever something genuinely original comes out, no one gives it a fair shot.
Shantae, Chibi-Robo, Killer7, No More Heroes and goddamn near every Double Fine game made so far. Stop bitching about original IPs if you're just gonna go get the latest Assassin's Creed or Halo in favor of any smaller, more original title.
Controls > Graphics. Fuck touch-screen-only tablets and fuck most of the games on them.
"Nintendo needs to create new characters/franchises and not just spin-offs with existing ones..."
Because you will go right out and support them, right? Fat chance of that.
Close minded people, I'd reckon.
No thanks. Some Super Meat Boys or Splosion Mans would be more my speed.
Given that Mario, Zelda, Skyrim, God of War, Heavy Rain and L.A. Noire were as popular as they were, I'd say that no, offline single player gaming is not dead.
Some games are great with multiplayer. Just not all of them.
Wow, are you immature brats for real? N4G's community everyone. You don't like, don't buy it. Period. A tool defends practices like these; I'm saying that I choose to avoid them instead of acting like asshats like yourselves.
"Day One DLC Is Not Acceptable"
Can we stop acting as if this is factual? I've met a number of people who really do not care whether the content is on the disc or not.
I don't like on-disc DLC either, but you know how I handle it? I don't buy it instead of whining on the internet.
To be fair, Nintendo has a hard time gaining proper 3rd party support. Games like No More Heroes and Mad World could not survive with the Wii (though I think that has more to do with the core crowd failing to engage itself with those games since they were hyped straight to hell).
@redDevil87
People like options.
You've missed my point entirely. This is good news for the console because they're fixing something that people have been complaining about for years now. And yet the more negative articles (which also tend to be more speculative) get a lot traffic than articles like these which get very little. Why? I have no idea; but I do know that it allows ignorance to spread like wildfire and for negative rumors to be treated as facts even when they hold very little to no water. The same thing h...
