I'm still thinking F-Zero or Star Fox. And of course whatever Retro Studios has been developing (which of course could be one of those two franchises).

@Lucretia

It's more like you're prematurely jumping to conclusions which comes off as fanboyish and bias.

You don't know anything about Wii U's hardware. And I'm fairly certain you've never even so much as held the controller in your hands. We've not seen one bit of footage of a game running on Wii U EXCEPT for the Rayman Legends trailer which Ubisoft has gone out and said does not represent the final version of the game or the con...

If the Wii was considered next-gen (and given it did something very few console before it had done properly) then why not the Wii U?

It's not all about pretty graphics, you know.

To the man's credit, he has admitted that he's been wrong before. This is the same song he sang when the Wii was coming out.

Who knows what will happen? It's far too early for anyone to judge. I still personally look forward to it though.

That was on the non-HD Wii no less. And it was still brilliant to look at and played well, especially for what it was trying to do.

Or at least have more sense than a twelve year old.

So basically you're attacking anyone with different opinion from yours or perhaps anyone who opted to try out any of the motion control options?

Perhaps I'm naive, but isn't that being an opinion nazi?

Satoru Iwata said early on that Wii was made for non-gamers and that it had *some* core games to offer.

They did not break many, if any promises; you just weren't listening.

Actually since they unveiled the Wii, they have not spoken much of the core market at all. In fact, in many respects the way they presented the Galaxy games and Smash Bros. was almost in a way to bring in both the core gamers and the casual audience.

With the Wii U, we know not yet what their business model happens to be. In other words, save your skepticism for after E3.

Uhh... it's just a floor and time announcement. It's not supposed to be anything shocking.

@Lucretia

And to every core Xbox gamer that bought a Kinect...?

@Akuma

You act as if Nintendo has never catered to core audiences before. *cough*N64andGamecube*cough*

Gimmicky or not, some of the features on the controller are pretty neat for gaming in general. There's a headphone jack in the controller, it has a camera, a gyroscope and a touch screen. These tools can be used to make games (I have shooters specifically in mind) more interesting.

These same inputs were used with games like Resident Evi...

They catered to core gamers during the 64 and GCN. Their "casual" business model isn't currently working.

Kinda makes sense for them to change gears.

Assault when the AI is shit.

Very intelligent on Nintendo's part. The more third party support, the better.

5161d ago 7 agree0 disagreeView comment

Ironically similar things could be said about the PS3, given that it was structured in such a way to make itself a more powerful machine, not necessarily to be developer friendly.

I reckon both Nintendo and Sony will correct these mistakes.

As someone who's optimistic for the console, I agree. I would like to see more as well.

5161d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

So how many fanboys intend to take the headline out of context? Any takers? Anyone?

5161d ago 2 agree1 disagreeView comment

@HarvesterOSarow

That's completely subjective. I actually happen to own over ten games on my 3DS (both physical and downloaded). The library is fine now. If your comment had been made about a year ago, I'd totally understand it though.

@LordMe

Thanks for the correction and yes, I fully agree.
