First of all, because it's my opinion.

Secondly, because it's only optional so long as people believe that there is a large group of people who are unwilling to pay for it. If 3D generated as much money as I'm sure Sony and Nintendo wish it would, then 3D would become a visual standard in entertainment viewing.

I am not a fan of this concept given that 3D burns my eyes and gives me headaches. I'm thankful 3D is and always has been an option, b...

I'm sure you enjoy spending an extra 10 - 20% on nothing more than a visual depth upgrade.

Exactly how often does a publisher give you the option to buy a game from a region that isn't your own? I wouldn't know how much a publisher makes off of import stores, I don't think it would be very much.

Basic point is I waited for the official release of Xenoblade and I purchased and therefor supported the official release. If more people did that I reckon Nintendo would be more inclined to forget about region locking and also localize more of their core/underg...

I own a 3DS and I've tried a Sony 3D TV.

3D really is not my thing. The less of it, the better.

I can't help but wonder if it's an HD remake of the first game...

I reckon there are benefits to it. Sakurai says the next Smash Bros.' Wii U and 3DS versions will be integral to each other. Apparently they're going to do something where you need both versions to get the experience.

Yeah, you're having to spend more money, but as long as you're getting you're money's worth, I see no issue.

It's confirmed for Smash Bros. *shrugs* If this post holds true, maybe they're trying something similar for Luigi's Mansion.

Importing games does not give them much money; especially if someone orders off of eBay. You need to think of it from a business standpoint in order to understand their decisions.

Anyway, I hope they do continue that trend. I've been playing Xenoblade Chronicles and it is amazing. The English dubbing is very good and I hope they use them more for other JRPGs on their platforms.

Sony region locked accounts on the PS Vita. Guess their leave from gaming would be a good thing too.

Their position is not nearly as vulnerable as you make it out to be. Nintendo didn't screw up the previous two generations. The Nintendo 64 made them a profit just as the Gamecube did. The Sega 32X, CD and Saturn were failures for Sega, commercially and financially.

I do agree though, Nintendo needs to become more aggressive again. They need to really show people that Wii U is a console worth owning; not necessarily with a super strong machine, just a good one to play gam...

No. Just no. Your misinformation is downright laughable.

Sony recently reported a net loss of nearly 6 billion dollars (not yen, DOLLARS). The 2.8 billion dollar loss was indeed from the Playstation division. Here's a link to prove it.

And? Valve is a great developer, not a hardware manufacturer. Why does it matter which hardware they're initially developing for?

And Microsoft's focus on Kinect for the last three years...? Mind you, that trend probably won't change until the Kinect stops selling.

"Nintendo needs to improve upon most of the things core gamers have been useto like graphics, animations, gameplay, sound, and all sorts of tech already seen."

Have you ever played a modern Nintendo game? Zelda: Skyward Sword and both Mario Galaxy games look, sound and play beautifully.

Sometimes I wonder if you're so critical just because you like to troll Nintendo articles...

They can appeal to both. Let Activision make Call of Duty on Wii U and they can have someone like Retro make a new shooter for them.

Nintendo doesn't need to do all of the work. They're currently making Mario and Zelda games. That's what third party support is all about.

@Biggest

Really? The N64 and the Gamecube were stronger than the respective Playstation consoles of that era. Also the 3DS is actually a very powerful handheld and can have even better looking games if they weren't developed with 3D in mind.

More negative speculation. Can we not just wait for E3?

@Akuma

Are you really that interested in losing all of your bubbles?

Also say what you will; having your console red ring and die, then having it repaired for $100 and then getting it back weeks later with even more problems, to me, is shoddy and archaic.

The link isn't working for me.

Haven't seen too many live action video games trailers that were memorable. But the ones that always stuck out in my head were the ones for the Metroid Prime games.

Now arguably, I think the Prime 1 trailer may have been CGI, but I can't quite remember. The Prime 2 trailer was definitely live action mixed with CGI. Either way, they were both amazing.

I remember that article; as well as Crytek's positive opinion of Wii U. I found it confusing that they would not bring Crysis 3 to the Wii U in light of all of what we knew.

Then I figured that they must be so far into their development cycle that it's too late to port the game over to meet the release date of the 360/PS3 versions.

That's alright in my book. If not Crysis 3 then I'll look forward to their followup game.
