Invention is a bit irrelevant when you're the one who made everyone want it.
Nintendo got lucky with the Wii because it was something that gamers and non-gamers thought they wanted (or Nintendo got them to want it). It even made Microsoft and Sony want it (Kinect and Move).
No Nintendo did not invent motion gaming (though arguably they started doing it even earlier than the Wii with things like the Power Glove). But they did make it a household console fe...
Lol. One has to wonder if the names character count matches those as well.
Could be a way to promote KH III if it's true. Who knows?
Somebody really needs a girlfriend.
Translation makes it a strange read, but from what I made of it, it would be nice if it were true.
Even for these more positive rumors, I still say the same thing; wait until E3.
That was just rumored. Though people should not take this as a confirmation.
Said it before and I'll say it again; wait for E3. We're less than a week off so crazy rumors will come out of nowhere for a while. It wouldn't surprise me if the day before Nintendo's conference an anonymous developer would come out and say the Wii U is less powerful than a Nintendo 64.
And the crazies here would believe it too.
Isn't that largely because more software on consoles were released this year on more platforms?
And Epic and Crytek and around three other publisher's comments on the Wii U's power? Troll somewhere else please.
I fail to see how familiarity also means lack of quality.
Nintendo doesn't. They give you benefits as oppose to taking out content. They reward players for buying games new as oppose to punishing them for buying them used.
That's a system I wish some of the crazies who utilize online passes would adopt; reward the player for buying the product with more value, don't take value away for the player buying it used.
Damn... that would be a pretty interesting conference for any core gamer. Here's hoping Nintendo brings the big guns.
I really like the Beetle. Dropping bombs on enemies was often quite amusing.
Nice features. Now let's hope E3 hits and this is all true.
@Yabhero
I think there's a little more to it than that. The 360/PS3 can run Portal 2 and Team Fortress 2 better than my computer can and my computer has 4GB of RAM while both of those consoles have a mere 512 MB.
If they don't like it then they shouldn't buy it. The gamer who buys it as they're complaining is just as much to blame as the publisher.
I don't disagree that it's a shoddy business practice, but come on. The less money they make off of it, the less likely it is to become a standard.
That just... wow. Let's start off by saying that this fellow is a killer artist.
Next, I'd like to say that a Metroid game that looks like that would be nucking futs.
I'm willing to reckon that Nintendo will be willing to manufacture a new type of "classic" controller for the Wii U. My hope is that it's shaped like the Gamecube controller. The reason for this is way back when there was a rumor that Gamecube games would come to the Virtual Console. So here's hoping.
All that being said, I don't see why any self-respecting core gamer with average intelligence cannot look at the Wii U controller and realize that it...
How does slapping a touch screen in the middle suddenly declassify the controller as "hardcore?" Last I checked, it was about the software, not the hardware.
I really don't get you people.
The only way you'll know is if you try it. And no, looking at internet reviews doesn't count.
Ah well. Doesn't matter. Whatever Retro is working on will probably still be awesome.
That said, this was an interesting pitch. Too bad we won't ever see what the result could have been.
