I disagree. Prime Hunters actually controlled well (it just made your hand hurt). Other M had some shoddy controls and a completely awful story to boot. Whether or not it's a truly "bad" game is irrelevant. In the eyes of many fans, it did not not hold up even closely to the standards of the average Metroid game.

To see Retro take a whack at it would be quite interesting. I was so perplexed when people told me they did not like or even hated Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword.
Perhaps Retro are the ones to reignite that spark that would grab older gamers for a new Zelda game. At the very least I'd like to see that happen.
I say ditch Other M entirely and revisit it later. I know a lot of people liked it, but even more people hated it. So let Retro Studios do their thing with the franchise, or have Nintendo do some classic 2D stuff. Maybe in three or four years, revisit the Other M gameplay style.

It's a feasible thing to infer. I'd imagine THQ would want every version to sell well.
Expect to be disappointed, I think. It's too early in the 3DS' lifespan to unveil a technologically superior model.

Of all the things you listed, I'm only interested in GoW: Ascension. Banking on CoD for the Vita and Sony Smash Bros. does not sound like my cup of tea. The Last of Us I'm not particularly interested in, though that's largely because the trailer from last year had no gameplay in it.

Throw in Shantae, Marina from Mischief Makers, Kumatora from Mother and Rosalina. As for other characters, I'm thinking Dillon from Dillon's Rolling Western, Waluigi and Shulk from Xenoblade.
Capcom's thrown Mega Man out on a loop as of late. And Nintendo actually holds licensing rights to Isaac an Geno if I'm not mistaken. So they'd be the easier and more logical of the three listed.
For all the rumored price tags, anywhere between $250 to $350 is A-OK with me. $400 would push it, but I'd still make a purchase. At $450+, I would be much more iffy on it.

Also you don't seriously expect all that to be announced at E3 do you? Perhaps during the later portion of its lifespan yeah, but not right now. As a famous TV personality once told me as a kid, "Rest assured; the best is yet to come."
