@SilentNegotiator
You and a fellow by the name of Context should go out sometime. I think you would have a great time getting to know each other.
Or are you just pissy for having been proven wrong? I don't know what's more sad, that legitimate Wii U criticism is so difficult to find in this community or that guys like you feel the need to either downplay the truth or validate misinformation.
"Wii U is on par with 360."
I appreciate the response. Didn't read that context in your original post at all. My apologies for putting you on the spot.
Sounds awesome if it's true. I'd certainly like to see that conference.
And Resident Evil 4 on the GCN/Wii had load times that lasted all of a few seconds. What's your point?
Ouya has to prove itself as a viable machine. Having a truly open source (and cheap) console is a pretty cool idea on paper, but I have no idea how it can play out in action.
Next Level Games' games always get a thumbs up from me. They made the Strikers titles (both of which I loved) and they animate the Mario cast extremely well. I'd love to see them take on a new IP or even another primary Mario/Luigi game.
Anyway, I played a demo at Comic-Con. This game looks awesome and I can't wait to buy it.
"Right and i still remember when some people said the Wii was on par with the 360 and the PS3 and look what happened."
I don't know if you have received the memo yet or not, but it isn't 2006 anymore.
"Tsk tsk tsk and after the PS4s unveiling Nintendo fanboys still believe that their console is on par with it."
I don't. I think it's like comparing a Dreamcast to a PS2, or a PS2 to an Xbox. Weaker but not le...
Aren't Steam's deals always consistently cheaper than all of the big three consoles? Why even make that comparison when it's already a given?
Funny you say; the F-Zero game in Nintendo Land is actually pretty addicting (and challenging, particularly once you get past area 12), and that game primarily used motion sensing in the gamepad which worked pretty well.
My hope is Nintendo Land is a sign for which franchises will see new life on Wii U. Though at the same time I'm a tad worried about franchises like Kid Icarus and Star Fox since neither were featured.
Nintendo's full of surprises. Let...
Because EA are bitter old farts who are pissy that Nintendo did not want to run Origin as part of the Wii U's online infrastructure? Just a theory.
@aquamala
If the general perception was not that the Wii U is on par with the 360, I doubt people would make these comparisons in the first damn place.
There's been an annual AC game priced at $60 for the better portion of the generation. CoD's doing the same thing, it's just that Activision has been at it a little bit longer.
Ubisoft should watch their step with AC. If they don't make significant changes to the formula with each game it could become stale. I don't feel they've done that yet. Two improved on everything in One, Brotherhood and Revelations added things like multiplayer and the mission s...
Yeah I concur. Though unfortunately from what I understand there are no existing 3DS video capture devices for the public. Only high tier press and Nintendo has something like that from what I understand.
Question; if you hate Nintendo and the Wii U so much, why do you keep coming to the articles in the Wii U section?
You mean to tell me that they potentially optimized this game so quickly and poorly that the loading times are now LONGER than that of the 3DS version? Are you freaking serious?
There's a big ol' "WTF" I'd like to give to Capcom if this turns out to be true.
Only when in the elevators. That was Capcom's piss-poor way of hiding loading screens. Other than that, the game generally ran smoothly for me.
That is NOT the point of the argument. People on this site consistently label the Wii U as a failure but refuse the Vita as such when it has been selling even lower numbers for the better portion of over a year.
The Vita is not selling any better than the Wii U is at present. If you're going to acknowledge one as a failure, you may as well say the same for the other. I personally think neither should be since they've both yet to show their true potential with AAA game...
"The Vita doesn't even compare since it's a handheld console, they can sell much less and yet still be profitable."
What's your excuse when the 3DS is selling on par with or even more so than the 360 and PS3?
Are you serious? Why do you feel ANY doom/gloom articles are necessary? Besides, the Wii U has been getting this sort of flack since before launch.
EDIT: Matter of fact, look at this article; it's the same doom and gloom drivel from the early part of February and yet it's already got a sizable amount of buzz while the positive articles have been completely bypassed. That's not typical at all.
If that were true then why would a Wii U owner like myself own a PS3? Having a preference doesn't turn everyone off from other material you know.
Didn't you know? It's cuz the Wii U is teh DOOMEDZ. /s
