I'm surprised neither DmC nor Aliens Colonial Marines made this list. Furthermore, I am not sure how RE5 is more controversial than 6.

"Have you check the global sales it almost out sold the xbox"

The 360 is also seven years old, and that was right after a price drop for the Vita in Japan. The point I made was that connectivity between the Vita and another console did not really boost its sales, and Sony would have to find a clever way to make that a selling point with the PS4. Based on the agree/disagree ratio it seems you're not the only one who completely missed the point.

That depends on whether or not they can make the general consumer see the value in that. This kind of connectivity did not work at all with the PS3/Vita combo as far as moving Vita units. Lo and behold a Vita price drop in Japan and suddenly selling more quickly.

@SilentNegotiator

"Of course you turned this into an issue of Nintendo being the victim..."

Even though I started this entire piece by citing an example of Sony being the ones victimized. Right now YOU are the one twisting this blog which was neutral to all of the companies. Good show.

Any time I cited the Vita's low sales was in response to people calling the Wii U a "flop" and a "failure" for low sales in a...

So in other words, you're taking his words completely out of context. You guys are not only misrepresenting Miyamoto, you're also misrepresenting the term "milking" in that context as well.

Guitar Hero and Call of Duty do NOTHING to change their formula.

Mario has been in arcade games, sports games, puzzle games, platforming games, kart racers and even RPGs.

How the hell can you call it milking when numerous installments hav...

Actually for your information, yes I did complain about that. I said it was a damn shame and I was pretty unhappy about it at first, but it at least had backwards compatibility to Wii, both physical and digital games, and could potentially add GCN games to the virtual console in the future just like how the PS3 slim models (and some fat ones) don't support the PS2, but do support the PS1 (sans some emulated downloads). That's better than having NOTHING at all and I still say it's ...

They've done that on the 3DS eShop a little bit. Dillon's Rolling Western is getting its first sequel, and other titles like Sakura Samurai and others have seen a fair share of Nintendo promotion.

I think Nintendo likes to take a safer route with new IPs in that regard, and it's a pretty smart business move. I honestly would not mind seeing a full on console experience about Dillon after the sequel.

I'm confused too, I thought a game character had to be on a Nintendo platform before they could even be considered.

Maybe they're porting the game to the Wii U/3DS eShop?

Nintendo's still doomed though. RIGHT GUYZ?!

Off-topic, this will probably not garner any buzz as usual.

Their support was half-assed before it even launched. What are you talking about?

4874d ago 7 agree0 disagreeView comment

Some people do. I always make a point to play a game or its demo before I judge it. Once a games reception becomes word of mouth, people just seem to take it as fact.

Wouldn't it be better if it was its own unique experience? It's fine if it borrows minor elements, but I'd really like for the series to push forward as oppose to backward.

As for the list, aside from things like horseback riding, I feel it lists a couple of things that any Zelda really should strive to do, particularly the number one choice. Ocarina of Time is not the only attempt at making Zelda the best it can be. Wind Waker was exceptionally ambitious, for exa...

While that's a relief it's also a shame. It would be great if they ported Minecraft to other platforms aside from as well as including the Wii U. I know a few people on this site have been clamoring for a Vita version.

Console exclusivity with third parties really bites sometimes. This is one of those times.

If you're implying I'm one of the people complaining specifically about the PS4's lack of backwards compatibility, let me clarify.

It's a disappointment that the PS4 doesn't have backwards compatibility, but it's by no means a deal breaker. However I still don't see what this article is getting at by suggesting that those who prefer having backwards compatibility in their next-gen consoles have an immature standpoint and need to "grow up."...

Maybe not a killer app, but it is a great way for fans and developers/publishers to communicate. Without the uproar on the Uplay thread, I doubt Ansel and his team would have pushed for the challenge mode to be a free download for Wii U owners.

What the hell is immature about liking backwards compatibility? I think it's nice to be able to do away with old tech in order to make room and save money for new tech and still be able to keep and play my games. It's obviously not an essential feature, but it's certainly a welcome one.

I don't want to be that guy (again), but would anyone honestly be this forgiving if the Wii U didn't have backwards compatibility?

Being in last place doesn't mean Nintendo lost any money on the Gamecube. If you can't begin to comprehend that then you have very little understanding of how this industry works.

4874d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

I can concede to that. My Wii U would suffer freezing issues after a few straight hours of play prior to the first post launch update. OS and software-wise it does feel rushed out. Otherwise, it runs fine and Nintendo is at least doing what they can to improve upon the system.

I've seen the footage. And no thank you. I learned from friends (and now experience) that not all emulators run all games properly regardless of how solid your specs are. My PC is good enough to run GTAIV a bit better than a 360. It should have had no problems running Metroid Prime in that regard.

I already have Metroid Prime Trilogy on Wii anyway, so I don't see why it's necessary. I'm also not a fan of stealing games. So thanks for the suggestion, but I'...

So basically you're going to continue supporting a copy/paste soccer series and a FPS that recently decided its best strategy was to try and outdo Call of Duty.

*slow clap*

You must feel so accomplished. I'll stick to my PC, my PS3 and Wii U and play new games as well as some imaginative franchises, such as Jak, Zelda and Oddworld.
