For all of the issues I acknowledge Nintendo has had with their online infrastructure (and continue to have with the Wii U) I can personally infer that had Wii U been running Origin, I'd have been the first person to jump ship completely. A Nintendo system running Origin exclusively is a no-go for me.
If EA is really that bitter then I'm fine continuing not to buy their products. There were few exceptions of course, like the Mass Effect games, but I've always purc...
Halo Anniversary Edition sold pretty well, I believe. So you're kind of late on that one.
Need For Speed and Ninja Gaiden 3 had different content though. They're not exactly the same games as their 360/PS3 counterparts and I have not played either of those yet.
Also I doubt Dolphin will be made to run Wii U games within the year. Not that I would care if it did, I've used it before; it's not really reliable when it's running Metroid Prime at a sluggish ten FPS.
Sales are important to Nintendo fans when others cite them to bash Nintendo products. Being knowledgeable and actually caring about something are two different things.
Brutal Legend.
Kotaku, will you just shut it?
I didn't see much wrong with the trailer other than the game looks decent to play and the humor is pleasantly juvenile.
The Wii U is a next generation console, you goober. It comes a generation after the Wii.
That's okay. Everyone has different views and I'm well aware mine are obscure in this regard. I honestly don't expect to see Link as a girl anytime soon either. I'd just like to see it happen one day.
Why do you keep talking about a price cut when you don't even like the Wii U? Secondly, Nintendo delayed those games to give more time to develop them, not for a reason as petty as porting them to other consoles when the game is already finished.
Each new Zelda is a new version of Hyrule with a new line of characters. Some of the names and likenesses are shared, but Zelda and Link from, for example, Ocarina of Time, are technically not the same as the Link and Zelda you may find in Skyward Sword or Twilight Princess. They are either descendants or reincarnations, basically.
So you could just do a sequel and make it thematically different. I'm still waiting for a Zelda game with a female Link for example. I think t...
Bubble up.
The Wii U is a HOME CONSOLE. It was never intended as a portable one. The gamepad is a game controller, not a tablet. You're talking about two different kinds of devices at this point.
To forward your point, if you look at history, the 3DS' price cut was concurrent to the release of two Mario games that same year, both of which sold over a million units before said year ended.
The Wii U Gamepad is not a tablet, it's a game console controller with a touch screen. Why can't people understand this? You may as well call the Vita's screen and the DS/3DS' touch screen tablets as well.
I'm not sure about connecting your smartphone to the Wii U or vice versa, but I'm pretty certain Nintendo announced eons ago that they're getting Miiverse expanded to smart phones and computers as well.
"That's right, sales are not important for consumers."
Then why did you just make a point about sales in your original post?
Based on this it's because of the Gamepad functionality. Yeah, you could also have PS3/Vita owners use it as well, but that's assuming a majority of PS3 owners have a Vita with them.
Sooner or later games will wind up looking as good as a lot of the CGI you see in movies these days. The Killzone PS4 demo looked like gaming as an industry was getting close to that.
You made an excellent point here; "You can have the worlds greatest graphics going on in a scene, but if the task/mission your character is on within this scene is dull and repetitive, then there is no point in putting so much behind the visuals when some of those resources could boost AI o...
I hope that price is only a placeholder, but I have a feeling it's real which is a shame. As a fan, I'm fine with paying $60 for Wind Waker with updated graphics and gameplay, but I don't see others being able to approach it the same way. $40 would have been ideal and $50 would have at least been appropriate (since GCN games were initially priced the same way).
I have Skype on my computer which is right beside my game station. I think I'll be fine without it fully implemented into my consoles of choice.
Is the Steam Box really reaching to the console crowd though? Is it upgradeable? In which case is it just a funky little machine for the sole purpose of playing Steam games? Will it support the entire Steam library?
Those are some of the concerns I have for it at least.
