I'd be lying if I said I didn't care. Of course I want more 3rd party support for my preferred platform. Nothing I can do if the majority do not share that support. But people need to realize that simply pinning all of the blame on Nintendo (as usual) is not exactly going to stir up anything more than the same usual debate.
Do you expect Nintendo to get exclusivity rights on every 3rd party game in existence? Nintendo has already stated they are interested in pursuing...
@LOL_WUT
Are you stupid? At what point did playing PC games mean you can't own a console? Way to spin his comment into something entirely different than what was even remotely implied.
If the games are good and they make good use of the features, then yes.
@SilentNegotiator
Okay, so you would prefer every article on N4G predicting doom to the PS4 as oppose to a site saying how the PS4 has the greatest launch lineup ever because Watch Dogs happens to be on it?
I highly doubt that.
Less than half a year into its life cycle? If the 3DS, Vita and PS3 had not already happened, I probably would worry about its performance. Give or take more solid software and perhaps a price drop somewhere later on, and it will pick up fine.
Yeah everyone talks about the Nextbox and PS4, but if that logic didn't apply last generation, I don't see why it would with this one.
Well, I suppose that's better than outright insults and misinformation, don't you think?
I'm not saying their list is completely sound, but I don't see what's so awful about them listing rumored and potential games that could come to the system.
Besides, I think it's pretty clear that the other end of the spectrum is not exactly fair either.
EDIT: Lovin' the phantom disagree. Let me guess, couldn't think of a c...
I was pretty confused by that myself. I guess they're trying to get the most profits possible. Hopefully they can slash prices with time.
Or they can hook up an external HDD. Or did you conveniently forget that that was also an option?
@Root
Keep in mind, direction can change with time. RE4, Wind Waker and the first Devil May Cry were all set to be radically different from the final product once upon a time.
I think they are just going to keep the bright colors, not necessarily make a similar game. Remember the remake of Wind Waker? They spoke of experimenting with the graphics for the new game and using that for the remake.
So for now we have to wait and see. But I don'...
Pachter sucks worse at his job than Iwata does at his.
Seriously, Iwata is a longtime developer and producer at Nintendo, worked his way up to presidency, helped Nintendo find its success with the Wii and took a 50% cut in his own check when the 3DS didn't sell at expectations in the first year. SO HORRIBLE.
What has Pachter done? Gotten his predictions wrong consistently.
"DS will fail."
"Wii will fail."
"GAWD DAT EDGE REVIEW. I was looking forward to this game but oh well!"
Well according to this and the post before it (which conveniently enough received next to no buzz) the game's not that bad. Nice going community. At least you're consistent. /s
It really is an amazing gem. I'm glad there's still an entire community that loves the game.
Pretty much.
To be honest, I'm not surprised by its current numbers. It's much more expensive than its predecessor and the price was what helped the Wii last generation. It's a huge contrast given that Nintendo went from cheapest new platform to most costly.
This is an old duplicate. How did this get passed?
Yeah, I can see why a sci-fi fantasy game with very few realistic elements is suddenly in dire need of realism. And shitty writing. Thanks for the sentiment "kid."
Exactly! There really should be a penalty for anyone who just jumps up and down or just sits still in a match with those kinds of rules. I say let a Bob-Omb drop on their heads.
From my experience, when they run out of things to hate, they downplay the few positives they see.
Either way, this game isn't receiving bad reception. Mixed to positive would be far more accurate. As of this post there's a pending approval review for this game that actually has a perfect score. Go figure.
So... I once mentioned that Game Informer gave this game an 8.5 and someone said they only did that because Gamestop wanted to forward used game sales or something.
So is there some mystical conspiracy theory here too, or can these guys actually believably like this game?
I've encountered that issue before as well. Really douchey players who just jump up and down or sit idly by are really lousy players. It's frustrating because they're not playing the game properly. Hopefully in the next game they will have the option of 1v1 matches only.
This makes me hope all the more that the online beta rumor for Smash Bros. is true.
No one should be downplaying the fact that Wii U sales are slow. Though it seems like everyone ready to jump out of their seat to point that out likes to ignore the fact that it, as of now, has sold more units than the 360/PS3 in the same span of time.
And based on the comments there are people who don't even grasp the context of that sentence. Typical.
