"Oh, but the best part is that he ends the statement saying that BioWare's listening... but comments are closed on the entry so you can't leave feedback on his post. Well done."

I noticed that too and found it sort of odd.

However they obviously understand that fans are unhappy, and they have decided to address it. Instead of speculating how they will address it I am willing to take a wait and see approach. I think whatever comes out of ...

Don't these morons have better things to do with their time? This is why the big problems in the US do not get fixed.

I can't speak for Virginia, but I know for a fact that California public schools are a joke. You really want to help kids do better Joe Baca (or should I say Joe BAKA)? You can start by improving the schools. Improve the place where they spend half of their time, and while kids are in those schools you might consider teaching them about things like t...

I know that right now a lot of us are still annoyed with the ME3 ending, but I hope that everyone with ideas about what they would like to see in DA3 will take Mark Darrah up on his offer, and kindly post suggestions about what is important to you in the series. I think that is more productive then just bashing DA3 right out of the gate.

I mean ask yourself, do you REALLY want BioWare to stop making games? If the answer is YES, perhaps it is simply time for you to move on f...

I am one of the people who actually really enjoyed DA2, however I think BioWare should hush up about the game until this whole ME3 thing dies down, because no matter how I look at it people are simply not ready for another BioWare game until this ME3 ending craziness dies down.

On the subject of DA3: I know a lot of people might disagree with me, but I really enjoyed the DA2 storyline, and I loved its characters. I actually liked them better then the characters from Origins. ...

@Archangelmike - I don't think it makes you selfish at all.

The sad side of this controversy is that fans on both sides are attacking each other. Fans who liked the ending (or at least didn't hate it) are calling the fans who are complaining whiners. And fans who hated the ending are attacking anyone who defends it. Both reactions are unfair in my opinion. But it just goes to show you how emotional people can get over a game like Mass Effect.

The reason I did not like the ending is that it didn't wrap anything up properly. You are left wondering what actually happened to all the people you have enjoyed this journey with. Perhaps this was intentional, and BioWare plans to tell the story with DLC, but if that is the case and they intentionally left it as a cliff hanger for that reason it is BS, since we have been told all along that ME3 is the ending of Shephard's story.

Aside from my feelings on the endi...

@hano - you are pathetic!

BioWare isn't just suddenly promoting homosexuality, they have had gay characters in their games for a while. If you have such a huge problem with it, perhaps you should have stopped playing their games a long time ago... or perhaps you are one of those guys who sleeps with the gay guy on the ship, but then feels bad about it and covers it up by bashing the gay lifestyle. Get over yourself.

Yep, exactly! Just like the married politician who was so vocally opposed to gay marriage until he got pulled over after leaving a gay bar with his male lover.

@deno - It is obvious that this game is too mature for you. Come back when you wise up a little.

5191d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

@deno - You should keep in mind that a lot of people suspect that guys who protest loudly against homosexuality are actually in the closet themselves, and they only protest in order to make themselves sound straight. People who are confident in their sexuality are not threatened by others choices, and simply see homosexuality as something that isn't for them. Plus it leaves more single females for the 'truly' straight man, so it's win win!

@Dark11

So you are okay with the lesbian, but you don't want gay? ... Seriously, go back to your cave and don't come out again until you grow up!

I noticed that too, and ME3 isn't any better with all the females asking to be invited to Shepard's room. he is a total stud and my Shepard isn't even that good looking.

See that is the correct way to look at it. Don't like it don't do it. The way that the game is designed it is VERY easy to ignore romance with any character you are not interested in and still keep them as a friend.

They are not perfect, but I think the more that BioWare does them the better they get at it. Personally I like them, and if you are going to include romance in your game it only makes sense to include the love scene. If they cut that part I think a lot of people would complain. Heck I have a friend who got into gaming only after watching her brother play DA2 and learning about the romance. So I say keep it up.

@AngryTypingGuy

Just because YOUR Shepard wasn't gay in ME1 & ME2 doesn't mean Shepard wasn't gay for other players. It is possible that a lot of players just skipped the romance in the earlier games instead of having a straight or lesbian LI. It is also possible that Shepard is bi.

I have no problem with the change, and in a world open minded enough to allow girl/girl and also human/alien relations it only makes sense that two men togethe...

So perhaps instead of voicing our displeasure we should just quietly stop buying BioWare games? Don't let BioWare know WHY we are unhappy, just move on to a different game series and wait for the news articles that speak of layoffs at BioWare?

Well, if I hated BioWare games, I would do just that, because I would not care. But I don't hate BioWare games, I generally love them, and I want them to continue to make good games. In business customer feedback is VERY imp...

I was thinking about Alan Wake as I read this, but I think the difference is that Alan Wake is still an ongoing series, while ME3 represented the final part of a trilogy. And although fans do expect more ME games in the future, most of us went in with the expectation that Shepard's story would end here, which it did, but it ended with one of the worst endings in video game history.

BioWare looks bad if the ending was unintentional and simply a result of bad writing, but...

That would be cool if it was true. Although playing with Aria as the star is not interesting to me, I'd rather it star one of my surviving team mates. However, I really wanted an Omega mission, so I might still be interested.

I used to buy every game that I was interested in the moment it came out, but too often the game was buggy, or simply unsatisfying. I have shelves and shelves filled with games that I only played for a couple of hours (or less) and I simply decided that needed to change. Now I pick and chose very carefully. Unless I feel 100 percent certain that the game is going to be worth it I no longer pre-order. Instead I try to hold out until I learn if the game is really worth its asking price. Doi...

And yet the so called professional reviewers will stand by an undeserved review score by stating it is just their opinion and shouldn't be taken as more than that. I am sorry, but when companies lose bonuses based on review scores it is time for reviewers to put more thought and time into there reviews.

On the other hand NV was a buggy mess so perhaps this had something to do with it as well. Still it must be hard to be a game developer if metacritic scores are taken thi...
