Firstly we all need to keep one thing in mind. Nintendo as a company deserves the respect of all gamers for 1 single reason. Without Nintendo it is very possible that none of us would be playing video games right now. When the gaming industry was on deaths door it was Nintendo that stepped up and revived it. For that reason alone I will always respect Nintendo as a company.

Agreed, as JRPGs go SMT is one series that just never gets old. I have been replaying P4 the past few weeks and loving it as much as I did when it first came out.
They are not the worst, but they are bad enough that I have decided to start to avoiding their games. It is kinda sad too, since I really liked EA once upon a time, but I have been let down by them so often in the last couple of years that I am just done.

Exactly! The conflict of interest thing bothers me a lot. In a world where game budgets get decided on based on Metacritic reviews I think that professional game journalist need to be completely objective, but how objective can someone be when they are working for a gaming company on the side? The answer is they can't.

I agree. The truly sad part is that after finishing ME3 I was unhappy with the game, yet I still had interest in supporting future BioWare games, because I figured they would learn a lesson and do better in the future. However after seeing way too many of these types of articles bashing anyone who didn't like the ending and voiced an opinion about it, it has resulted in my losing all interest in future BioWare games. A perfect example of Game journalism at it's worst.

Personally, I don't plan on lining up for new consoles on release day. I have enough unfinished/unstarted games to last me a lifetime and it is about time I catch up. I'll wait and see how things go with the new consoles, give them a chance to work out their bugs and other issues and when they start dropping in price maybe I'll consider it.

I hold no love for Gamestop, but I think it is good to have them around if only for competitions sake. Imagine if Amazon no longer had to compete with Gamestop and Best Buy, they would have no reason to offer those nice pre-order bonuses and that would kinda suck!

I think sometimes N4G can bring out the worst in us gamers. Regardless of that I can't find any place better for news.
Most companies suck these days, so EA certainly has a ton of competition.
However that doesn't change the fact that EA is hated by a large number of gamers, and since they are a gaming company that really should matter to them.
