Good points. Personally I think it is okay to be disappointed, and it is even okay for people to prefer one system over the other. Their is a way to state something that is respectful to others while still getting your point across, it is only the gamers who rely on angry and aggressive words to make their point that bothers me, because it makes all gamers look bad.
I disagree with that opinion. Although the Wii has some games that are not casual, and not everyone that owns a Wii is a casual gamer, the Wii was certainly marketed as a casual gaming device and it made millions by romancing the casual gaming market. The same can be said for Kinect.
I think it is a positive thing that Nintendo has opened their eyes to the fact that casual gaming can make a lot of quick money, but in the long run a gaming console cannot survive without the ...
You are not an idiot. That is a perfectly reasonable solution. Don't like it don't buy it. The idiots are the people who are sending irrational hate messages and acting like Nintendo just killed a puppy. Being disappointed is one thing, and stating your disappointment is fine, good, and healthy. The problem is the way some gamers show their disappointment which makes all of us look bad.
Are these the same gamers that bitched about Nintendo only having casual and kiddy games and said that Nintendo had abandoned the hardcore gamers?
Seriously people this anger is silly. Good for Nintendo they are moving out of their comfort zone, and trying to engage the hardcore gamer. It is what gamers were asking them to do for the longest time, and then they get bashed for trying to please us?
These idiots are probably too young to remember that Nintend...
Although I am not currently planning on buying one, I am interested in seeing how Wii U will do. I highly doubt it will mirror the demand that the original Wii received, but it will be fun to see how well it does.
I don't care about graphics, just make them dependable, cool to the touch, and easier to program for. Pretty graphics are great, but reliability, and great game play is more important.
While nice graphic are nice, I would rather the focus be on game play. As systems become more powerful they also seem to make it harder on developers to put out decent games for them. I would rather they put more focus on making systems which are easier to program on and also more dependable. And please do something about overheating. I already own a space heater, I don't need my PlayStation or Xbox to keep me warm.
Well, I think we are more social then we realize, for example we are here right now posting, which is social. And I am sure most of us are social outside of the internet too, some more then others perhaps. The problem for me isn't the social aspect which we already have with multiplayer gaming, its the Facebook tie in that bothers me. It is also the idea of losing the SP experience and being forced online whenever I play a EA game.
I truly hate the corporate obsession with Social Media. Every company thinking it has to have facebook & twitter links is bad enough, now it is effecting my favorite hobby, so annoying. I made a decision long ago not follow the sheep into the Facebook/Twitter trap, and I am sticking to it. If EA wants to go this route good for them, but I won't buy into it.
This is interesting. I know that lately I have been spending more time playing my older games (currently revisiting the Suikoden series) instead of buying new games. Once you get past the lower quality graphics there is so much fun to be had with old JRPGs. Plus since a lot of these are games I haven't touched in years I get all nostalgic and they just put a big smile on my face. I am just happy that I never got tempted to sale my old games, so I have a pretty nice collection to choose...
This is certainly an overheating issue, but am I the only one here who feels like modern electronics should not overheat so easily in the first place?
Seriously, no matter if I am playing my PS3 or my 360 both consoles run unreasonably warm. Same thing with my flat screen TVs. I hope that in the future companies will look for ways to combat this problem, but if we all just have the attitude 'oh its not big deal, just an overheating issue' I suppose there is really no...
I agree wallis. It isn't just about sexist comments, it is about decency.
Whenever I come upon a person who acts like an idiot online, I just figure they do it because in real life they are pitiful, and weak. I doubt that most of these guy have even kissed a girl, because no sane female would touch them.
Or perhaps they are simply mean and ugly inside, and they think acting like an ass is normal behavior, because that is how they were treated the la...
Don't even get me started on EA. I simply don't like them much these days, and every time I come across more EA news it just makes me like them less.
Why would I buy this DLC? Shepard is dead and buried in a pile of ugly melodrama, for what reason do I want to revisit this series? If that causes them to make no more DLC for a series that BioWare themselves killed off, I am okay with that. Perhaps BioWare can use this time to start something new, perhaps a new series that hasn't pissed off half of their fanbase might actually be something worth considering.
Although I have zero interest in this, and no clue as to why SquareEnix is so stuck on XIII, I suppose the XIII-2 must have sold enough for them to feel that this is a good idea. Good for the handful of people who actually like this low point in the series, and for the rest of us I guess we should look somewhere else for good games.
Shouldn't they want ALL of their FF games to give us that nostalgic this is FF feeling? If it doesn't do that why bother calling it a Final Fantasy. And why is SquareSoft putting out so many games using XIII isn't it considered an unlucky number? They have XIII, XIII-2, Versus XIII, and now even XIII-3???
'Masterpieces take time?' LMAO - tell that to Duke Nukem.
More likely you will be playing buggy broken EA games and paying 3x as much as you are paying now just for the DLC.
What I hate is the fact that I used to get so excited whenever a Bioware news came out, but now I find myself cringing whenever Mass Effect gets brought up in an article.
The worst part is I don't want to feel that way, I want to like and support Bioware, but they have made such a bad impression on me recently that I find it difficult to be excited about them. I hope they do something that changes my mind, but it won't be Leviathan DLC.
I don't think gamers hate DLC in general, what they hate is overpriced DLC or DLC that is pulled from the game to be sold back to them. Most gamers I know like DLC IF it is good, extends the life of the game, and is not over priced for what you get.
